Didn't Aveline just lose her husband? Geez you guys, have a heart and at least let his body get cold before trying to move in on her. She has a VERY good reason to not want to be romanced. It is a shame that they made Bethany the PC's sister, she would have made a good romanceable character.....although if some people want to romance a gal that has only been widowed a microsecond....they probably wouldn't mind a little incest. *yuck* either way.

We are aware this game spans 10 years, yes? And that they could have made the romance available only after year 3, or something?

Yeah, its not just that the game takes place over 10 years, while Jaheira was willing to get with you after what, days, maybe weeks? Its also that Hawke is such a HUGE upgrade over that Wesley guy, that if anything it should take her LESS time to move on than it took Jaheira, not more . But even if they wanted to give more time, they have plenty of it, 10 years worth. Maybe they've got a special Aveline romance DLC planned, like LotSB did for Liara, and kind've like the Morrigan DLC from DAO. That would be a nice idea.

Gotta agree, I thought Aveline was very unattractive, don't know why people would want her as an LI(incoming 'different strokes' replies) it would make a good story though. As for ahem "having a go at Flemeth's new bod" not really my first choice, rather her than Aveline though.

Anyway, I was never too wild about Aveline to begin with. But I can understand why she's not a love interest. Being previously married and all... and witnessing her husbands brutal death.

I don't know about you, but that'd kind of take the motivation to get remarried out of me.
