I just wish someone from Bioware would just confirm if it's the real deal or not by now. At least with Merrill.

No, because M!Hawke is wider than F!Hawke. Merril's arm would then rest on his shoulder instead of wrap around it. And her hand at the back would actually rest on the back of his shoulder.

But this is all assuming that Merril should look like she's wrapped around Hawke, one to one. I remember the kissing scenes from DAO, and there was always oddly placed hands. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case here, instead.

Also, isn't MaleHawke's head bigger, which would mean this kiss would have some mad beard-clippage if he was there instead of FemHawke?

They won't confirm it.  We will have to wait for more leaks from others.

For DA:O, I believe the Prima Strategy Guide was leaked early and that's how we found out about romances.

That Ser Gaider non-confirmation could merely have been him covering his back because he's not allowed to confirm anything either way. It isn't really a suggestion that there are 4 bi LIs, no more than it's a suggestion that there are only 2.

And please also note that maleHawke is standing "lower" than femHawke.

Actually, the height difference seems to be far less than that. Here is a M!Hawke and a F!Hawke in the same position. Again, this means nothing, because graphics are funny little buggers so Merril's arms can just be wonky like that in-game, but it's worth mentioning.

If it turns out this is legit, splendid.

I sort of don't want them to comment on them. Because if they say they are fake, everyone will take it as there being no Merrill/fHawke romance, when in fact all it would prove is that those specific pictures are fake. But still, that's what everyone will think. AND I WANT TO BELIEVE
