So I will come to the m/m thread on the 8th. But probably not at all once I've found out. Until the 15th (ish). By the 15th I'll have probably finished my first playthrough (get the game on 11th).

I don't want to know anything else. Nothing about the story, nothing about what the romances will be like, but I DO want to know who.
Yeah, you don't want to turn down an option, only to realize the one you want is locked from you.

This is no laughing matter. There are a few people here who may need to be put on suicide watch after when they find out that *Gasps* everyone isn't bi.
And some that might need to blink after they realize that everyone is bi.![]()
If you're one of the people I mentioned please don't do anything rash. I'm sure there are many other great things this game has to offer that are perhaps "almost" as important and meaningful as everyone being bi.

Why go through all the trouble of doing this when you obviously know it's both Fenris and Anders? <_<

That's it. Because my rogue is going to find Anders terribly attractive and a little bit like forbidden fruit, what with the whole demonically possessed thing ... so he's going to want to pursue him. But if he meets Fenris first and shuts off that line of potential hotness (with a big DENIED), and it turns out Anders is flirty but that's as far as he'll go ... well then Hawke's going to spend the rest of the game trawling the Kirkwall Guard for anonymous and angry comfort. And that won't be good.
No. Hawke and I would much rather know beforehand whether Anders is the kind of guy who likes a a strong, swarthy rogue before it's too late for Hawke to make, alternative arrangements.

David Gaider has specifically stated on anumbe rof occassions that not all romance options are bi. I think he said something about it not realistically working in terms of putting in all the effort in for the optional content for a target audience that is substantially smaller than those who enjoy the straight romances. To be honest I think no one can really blame them for this. I mean hasn't Bioware always been one of those companies that try to add a realistic and comprehensive range of romance options for all different genders and orientations? I appreciated this as a gay man because it was like "Yay they actually give a damn about their audience". Some might say thats just due to sales but a lot of companies wouldnt have made the effort before, despite an increase in its audience that would result. SO my point is that if Gaider stated that romances would be varied and not all Bi then I'm betting that hasnt changed yet. It would be a lovely thing to behold, but lets face it there are far more story-based things to get excited about than the romances. Just adding family and a potential for romance already makes it a much more personal game.
Side note, I have a sneaky suspiscion your companions may turn on you for your Templar/Mage opinions, and as I'm mage-driven or at least mage sympathetic, and Fenris is the Bi favorite, The guy who was basically tortured to the point of memeory loss and crazy powers emerging, Im gathering he wont like mages. SO for a Bi romance beign with Fenris? And if your companions do turn on you? Im sooooooooo screwed. Makes me wish for all-BI LI's but me thinks it aint gonna be happenning.

He hasn't confirmed anything, see this from the m/m thread:

I was lobeying for all bi LI in DA:2 a few pages back in this very thread, but someone posted confirmation that there would only be one f/f LI and one m/m LI. If you search the back pages, you could probably find it, but I'm turning in for the night now.
I confirmed nothing. If you wish to interpret my wording, then make sure you say you're doing that rather than "it was confirmed".

Also I am getting the Guide Book for the exact reason so if Merrill isnt bi I could make the male Hawke for my first playthrough. There is only one Romance trophy and i plan to use it on Merrill

He's said no such thing. I know this because I've made this very same claim myself in the M/M thread, and DG essentially replied, "I never said that."

That was in regards to having s/s exclusive LI's. As in, companions that were gay, and therefore could not be romanced by straight players (who make up the majority.) It wouldn't be a sensible use of resources to create content that the majority of players would not see/use.
If the characters are 'bi', however, that content is completely open to gay/bi and straight players.

Once again, none of the devs have confirmed anything regarding the romances, aside from who the LI's are (possibly because they're not allowed to say.)
All I know is that when I made the claim, "There will only be one m/m and one f/f romance in DA2" based off of a comment that DG made when responding to another poster's question (regarding the attractiveness of the m/m option), he replied to me that nowhere did he confirm or deny that there would only be one m/m and one f/f romance in DA2.
What DG HAS said is that, were they to make all of the LI's completely accessible to Hawke's of both genders, making them 'all bi' would be his least favorite method of implementation. However, he went on to say that were they to do it, they would likely do it in a way that made sexuality subjective.

Well, my thoughts on the all-bi LI's are probably pretty obvious by now.

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet in this forum, but it looks like Merrill is a bisexual option. I'm pretty sure I saw some screens somewhere that show a femHawke and Merrill in a romance sequence. I still have the link if anyone wants it posted in this thread.
They're all over the Merrill appreciation thread. People are picking them apart, but there's a good 5 or 6 of them. Seems pretty solid...

Now that I am looking at these pictures more, I have deducted that mods may be in use or there might be photoshop magic somewhere. http://hos.samods.org/screens.rar Just take a look at them and you decide. Im gonna be honest though, there are some spoilers in that file (like as if anyone didn't figure this out already). Plus, It doesn't really make sense for EVERYONE to be bi. Not saying it would be bad, but IMO it takes away a little of the diversity between the romances.
