Was it? Some people were saying it could've been but at the same tim certain artificats just couldn't be faked. 

As for the neck discoloration the same thing happens on custom Hawke. For...some reason. It's some strange glitch. It does it even when you ue the same skin color as default Hawke.

Well there was also a matter that Merrill was had her arms out like she was trying to wrap her arms around male hawke. I have yet to hear of any unfakeable artificats.

I am so very on the fence, the pics look very suspect but some of the info/demo hacks/reviews I have heard mentions Anders and Fenris both as M/M romance options.

Well, they look photoshopped to me.  <shrug>

And while I don't care if Merrill is straight, gay, bi, or non-romanceable (heresy, I know) I just think it's laziness to make every LI bi.

Franky, I don't think they're all Bi. Likely just two of them, and it's likely Isabella and Fenris.

There's a distinction there I intended, which may not have been clear.

"every LI bi" = the 4 possible LI's are all bi.

"everyone romanceable for everyone" = all companions, including Varric, Aveline, Sebastain, and anyone else who may turn up, being romanceable.

Frankly, adding the romances at all takes up resources, no?

Now, I don't mind that DA does them, but if they're going to do them, make them unique.  Some straight, some gay, some bi.

As for arguing over who's bi and who isn't, it doesn't really matter to me, and I don't want to argue that.  I just find it lazy to put romances in the game, choose 4 characters to be romanceable, but make all 4 available to everyone.

Besides, we'll find out who is or isn't bi in a week . . .and shortly after that, there will be PC mods to fix anything people feel needs fixing.

A loaded question to ask on this board lately.

The theory is that there will be bisexual options for all the LIs, but the characters aren't really bisexual because that subject is never broached unless the PC brings it up.  Merrill can be a lesbian in one game and straight in another, depending on whether the PC is male or female, and if you pick her romance lines.  So there is no "Merill" in terms of sexual orientation.  It's subjective based on the PC.

Since there are good indications that there are bisexual options for all the LIs, my guess is that they're all bisexual, but they won't be called that.  Just like in ME, Liara is not really a "same sex" option because "she's not really female."  The weasel in DA2 will be the framed narrative.  In one person's game, Varric decides to indulge his fantasies of hot girl-on-girl action, but in another game he decides that Merrill is straight.  He just felt like telling it that way, or that's what Hawke told him, but it's not necessarily what really happened.  The same way you can play a DLC called Leliana's Song, but there's no way to know what really happened- it's just a tiptoe through Leliana's subconscious.  *shudder*

So, like Mulder, you can believe that the truth is out there, but you might as well just give up and kiss Scully because you're never gonna arrive.

Considering it takes work to make the romances bi instead of straight (and available to the larger audience) I'm confused as to how that is lazy. Isn't lazy when you don't do work?
