Am I the only one excited about this because they included a scene with pillow talk? lol

No. Am I the only one horrified to think that every single frigging love interest start the infamous "So what now?" dialogue after sex?

There needs to be an "Escape out nearest open window" icon option  for Hawke if the "So now what?" conversation is started by a LI followed by a one year time skip...:D

"Confirmation"  Not technically but there is more reason to suspect all are bi than not at this moment.  Our hopes could still be crushed.

Not confirmation so much as overwhelming evidence. Screenshots, magazine articles, and deductive reasoning all point to LIs being unrestricted by gender.

Well thats pretty convincing, and also exceelent to hear. I've been wanting them to do that forever.

Too bad though that they made Aveline not romanceable at all :crying:

Every LI being bi simply allows more game options.... Nothing to do with not liking straight people.

I suspect you may be trolling.

I'm on topic and am neither expressing hate nor am i insulting anyone. I'm about as far from troll as one can get. By the way, there are plenty of game options outside whatever the devs do with (optional) romances (quest order, character customization, and talent/specialization allotment to name a few).

Disagreeing with a theory is one thing, but dismissing people's arguments by stating they are just being heterophobic is bordering on trolling. Grow up.

My original post had "That seems really heterophobic to me." Nothing was absolute in that post. I'm expressing my opinion in the appropriate place too. Me using heterophobic is no different than some people calling heteros homophobic. I'm all for having bi and gay romances, I just don't like the idea of making all 4 bisexual. Is it a crime to want a hetero-exclusive romance with a female companion? Morrigan was rather unsatisfying.

To the "they are all bi" followers and related movments: Are you saying that you'd rather have 4 bisexual romanceables than three romanceables (Straight Female, Bisexual Female, Bisexual Male for male Hawke & Straight Male, Bisexual Male, Bisexual Female for female Hawke) and one unromanceable (Straight Male for male Hawke and Straight Female for female Hawke) that you can still befriend? That seems really heterophobic to me. Also, do you think that flirting with anybody (regardless of gender) enough times in real life will get them in bed with you? That's preposterous. In general, humans are not as fickle as that. It's an insult to straights, gays, and bis to think such a thing. That's why I do not support the "they are all bi" movement.

Yes, I would rather have four bisexual LIs than the three romanceable companions as you suggest it. They're NOT people. They're characters in a video game, and what's insulting to me is that I might not have a choice in whom I romance if I want to play my orientation.

It's just that the "all bi" movement is adamant (you especially, sorry) to the point of obsession.

And your here arguing about the  supposed obsession.  That's not any better bub, if anything it'd be worse.  That's if it be bad in the first place.  Which is isn't.

It's not a crime.  It's just nonsense.  I fail to see how the character romancing genders other than your PC's in other people's games affects you.

As heterosexual I'm fine and fully support the all bi romance. Personally the best option for me is to have an exclusive heterosexual, and exclusive gay and a bisexual romance. Sadly I don't think this will happen in the future, so I hope for the people here that all romance are bi.

I wouldn't want Aveline as a romance option. Her husband is murdered early-in game and she seemed really attached to him. If she was a romance option her pillow talk would be something like "Wow you're almost as good as Wesely was" or "Wesley used to use his tongue like THIS not THAT" it'd just be way too awkward.

Thats a pretty wild assumption. The game spans ten years, she would have time to grieve and move on.

Some people don't move on from husband's deaths though. Some people's spouces die when they're 30 or 40 and they never remarry until they die in their 70's or 80's. I don't think she'll get over his death.

I'm going to regret getting into this, but...

Yes, that is exactly what we want.

You know what's also unrealistic? For somebody who is gay to have to settle for the one other gay person around, regardless of whether they're attractive, or just go with celibacy. In real life there are plenty of 'options' regardless of your sexuality. I don't expect Bioware to be able to replicate that degree of choice in game, but providing more than one option is actually more realistic for me.

In real life flirting with someone enough won't guarantee they go to bed with you, but people in real life aren't designated as your love interests, and in any case the same is true of straight relationships. Isabela isn't going to turn down a male Hawke because she's not physically attracted to him - she's a romance-able character and if you pick the right options in the game she will go to bed with you. This has no relation to sexuality, it's how game romances work for everyone.

Also, being queer myself I tend to find that I also have a lot of queer people in my social circles, even a majority. So if I'm playing Hawke as gay or bi, it's also realistic to me to have multiple friends who are gay or bi.

If they are all bi, there's no way that Bioware have written it so that you're constantly going to be reminded of their sexualities - you probably won't even notice unless you're paying attention to it.

It's not about wanting to erase the existence of straight people or something, it's about wanting to have optimum fun when playing the game. You get your heterosexual fun in every game featuring romance, this is one of the few games where gay and bi players get to have our fun as well, and it's exciting especially with the game release so close now. The 'all bi' movement is an expression of fans' enthusiasm and silliness.

I know all this. I'm not against the LGBT community wanting equal treatment (i'd prefer that over people fighting with each other, though i guess my other post would make some think otherwise). I just like the idea of having to play both genders to unlock romance possibilities. This all bi thing justifies playing one gender for some people. Don't get me wrong, the all bi thing isn't enough to make me not buy the game. I'm still buying it and will thoroughly enjoy playing it.^_^

EDIT: I fully support the LGBT community and their mission for equal treatment through any medium (in this case, DA2). I just really wanted one hetero-exclusive romance, preferably with Merrill! ../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png
