And the majority should apologize, seeing as it is the majority by right of genocide, rape and slavery. Ah, well. An old war, and one for another day.

whoa whoa, I apologize for my majority bias but I am not going to be included in something that I was never even born into the era of.

That's my point.  It's hypocritical.  Every time I meet someone who's religious who says they believe in ghosts I can't help but crack up.  If the Bible is true, then ghosts cannot exist.  Simple as that.

The Bible doesn't say anything one way or another about where the dead go, actually.

Heaven/Hell/ghosts all came about much, much later.

Have you ever read the Bible?  The New Testemant references Heaven and Hell many times.  Depending on which version it also mentions Purgatory.  It's been awhile since I've read the Old Testemant, so I couldn't say about that part.

I've read the Bible more times than anyone should ever have to, and I'm going to tell you right now that Heaven and Hell were developed later (they didn't exist in First Century Judiaism, of which Christianity is a sect)

Christ never once says that if you do good things, you go up, and if you do bad things, you down. Totally a Late Roman/Early Medieval invention.

Well, if you say so.  I'm not above saying that I'm wrong.  If you're sure then I'll believe you.  I've read it a couple of times, and I would swear on the Bible (Posted Image) that it talks about Heaven and Hell in the Book of Revelations at least.

Just wanted to point out that all the Catholics I know believe in ghosts not the Holy Ghost (well they believe that too) but in "Boo, I'm going to haunt you" kinda ghost.

Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't want to reply to him, so it's good someone else did. Catholocism is a highly superstitious religion (I don't mean this pejoratively... I'm not Catholic, but it's one of the aspects of the faith that I most admire). A literal belief in the possibility of demonic possession goes hand-in-hand with a lot of things that fall under the umbrella of "the supernatural."

No prob, my sister-in-law's family are Catholics and I've talked with them about this kind of stuff before. I don't really get into religion myself but I think somethings about them are very intresting.

Now I feel bad for letting my majority bias blind me. I am sorry to anyone offended by what I said.:pinched: I feel bad now for even being party of the majority....-goes to her corner-

This post highlights what's wrong with our culture today.  The majority is guilted into apologizing for being the majority.

So here's my apology.  I'm sorry that I'm a straight male who doesn't like to romance dudes in my video games.

Speaking as a straight male, who hasn't ever done a m/m romance, I'm gonna have to say this: suck it up. The romances are optional. You don't ever have to romance a dude, regardless of whether or not it's in the game.

And the majority should apologize, seeing as it is the majority by right of genocide, rape and slavery. Ah, well. An old war, and one for another day.

Strange.  I don't remember raping, enslaving or killing anybody.  You'd think that would be something I would remember.

And I'm telling the bi/gay people to suck it up.  They get one for each gender.  That's it.

Our entire world is built on it son, we're all guilty.

And I'm telling you to shove it. Whether or not we get full Bi romances doesn't hurt you anyway, save that fragile little ego of yours.

I am not an armchair theologian! I minored in philosophy and comparative religion :P

I don't even know you, anymore.

She majored in kicking ass and taking names to make up for it.

That's not SCIENCE!

That's true. Ass kicking is more of an art than a science. Though, I can draw scientific diagrams with your entrails from ten paces

Revelation. No "s." And there wasn't even one "Bible" until the council of Nicaea, over three centuries after Christ's time.

I'm not saying that the Supernatural is not under the purview of religion, just ghosts.  And not ALL religions.  I was more talking about Protestants and Lutherans than Catholics, but whatever.  And Demonic possession is just that: Demonic.  Not ghostly.  Demonic.

So my question to you is thus:  Do current editions of the Bible reference Heaven and Hell?  And if not, where does the idea stem from and why is it still in practice?

UNLESS THE BIBLE IS A ROMANCE OPTION, we are so off-topic right now that it's out of control.

So, what does everyone think about the style of the new romance cutscenes, or what little has been released? Hate the underwear? Like that they're less tacky in trying to depict the actual act itself? What do we think Sebastian's scenes are going to look like, seeing as he's chaste and all?

A lot of bi/gay people have been 'sucking it up' their entire lives, about things that are a lot less trivial than romances in DAII. Do not use that phrase so lightly.

Anyways, I hope that Merrill is a bi romance, she's so cute and perky.

I would love a cute scene with some kissing in it for Sebastian. We still get kissing right? Even though he is chaste? I HOPE SO! ><

Nope. The original King James might've, but we're several generations away from that schmuck (who, incidentally, mistranslated everything the first time round).

The idea is Late Roman, Early Medieval at the latest. And it stems from the Zoroastrinians, another monotheistic religion.

I'm sorry that I made a factual statement without a link.  There was one for each gender in the last one, so I'm working off the fact that there's one for each gender in this one.  There are the same amount of romances after all.  You even have your bisexual/easy romance with Isabela (Zevran from the last game.)  I just find it HIGHLY unlikely, in my opinion, that comes only from me, that everyone will be bi.  And if they all ARE bi, then in my opinion, all the romances will suffer and that none of them will measure up to Morrigan's from DAO.

Personally, I'm more excited about Sebastian's scenes than any of the others. The sexytime scenes always creep me out, so going the Jane Austin route is incredibly intriguing. I'm hoping for a tad bit of intamacy (hand holding, hug, kiss, etc) and leaving hope for more. I can't wait to see how Bioware handles a fleshed out romance without sexytimes (if that is, indeed, what Seb is).

I never said to shut up and be satisfied.

You do know that when someone doesn't name names, that they might not just be talking to one person, right?  That said, just from the same page as my post...

I understand what everyone is saying: I just wish people would be happy with the game and stop making these demands, lol. Let's just enjoy the game however it is and stop asking for more. I guess I am easily pleased but that is how I am when it comes to games. I can mold to them rather than have them always molded for me.

^^  This.  Every member of your party being bisexual is not realistic characterization wise.  Bis/Gays make up about 8 percent of the population, and you want 66 % of your party to be that way?  Isn't it enough that there's one male and one female bi option?  In ME2 there wasn't one (Kelly doesn't count).  People complained and complained.  Now, in DA2 there's bi options.  But instead of being like, "Hey!  Awesome!  I get to have a gay Hawke!" you people are complaining that EVERYONE isn't bi.  Are you ever satisfied?  Next you'll be complaining that there's straight options at all.

So yeah... excuse me if I paraphrased, but it was a sentiment that you certainly voiced, and was certainly voiced by others.

I personally despise cutscenes in general.

It should be interactive.
