I never think it's classy to be all 'I told you so', but for people who say things like that, I'd make an exception. And I'd smirk.

It is hard to take the high road when there have been so many people along the way telling us that allowing for full romance options was destructive to the game, unrealistic, childishly naive, catering to the minority, political correctness run rampant at Bioware, and on and on.  But at this point I'm far too happy to concern myself with too much smirking or "I told you so."  This really does make me about a thousand time more excited to play and it certainly means I am now, officially, a slobbering Bioware fangirl till then end of time.

As a male, I know that I am aesthetically inferior to all females. So I take this news with a heavy heart. Because if I choose a romance option, I inherently know they can do better.

Not sure why straight gamers care that all LI are bi...sexual insecurity? religious stupidity? And what was with the mentally challenged post about only the "majority" matters.

Anywho - as a straight woman I am very happy for all s/s gamers. I was very disappointed in the path that ME took and I hope Bioware continues to move forward.

Whoa whoa... but you're HAWKE. Merrill and Fenris aren't Bi... they're, as its been said before by other posters, "Hawkesexual". Hawke transcends gender preference.

I have been pondering, why isn't there more "mature" option for romance? I mean, most of them are 20-30 years old. How about someone in their 40's?

I guess that goes to the general age of the gamer. I'm 33 and I'd be happy to see a 40+ romance, but it's doubtful it would be as popular as younger ones. I don't really like very young romances either (18-22, for very arbitrary example), and my Hawke's will all try to look as close in age to me as possible (even though none of them will be modelled on me in the slightest). I expect it's similar for a lot of people.

I'm 26, but it would be a nice change of pace for me atleast. And older more experienced women can be really attractive too.

I think someone like Bann Teagan would be awesome (he looked in his early 40s to me).

Anyway, yes, looks like our side won.  And the 'phobes lost.  Right, okay, I can buy it with happiness on the 11h and plan my Marian x Merrill and Garrett x Anders fantasies.

Yeah, I'm not saying it wouldn't be welcome. Just that when resources are an issue, they'll stick with what they know will be more universally appealing. Maybe one day budgets will be high enough that they can try something like that.

I'm going for Fenris on my first playthrough with a female mage. Then it's Anders with a rogue (gender yet to be decided).
