Catabuca, if we'd have known Bioware would have caved in this easily, we could have made more demands!

Yeah, next time I'm asking for a car too.

We certainly underestimated the power of fluffy unicorns!  Oh well, I'll start drawing up my list of demands for DA3!

Friday's too far away... you psyched for it now? I am!  Image IPB

yeah...if Bioware is going to cave, i'd like to request that Brothel Elf be DA3's protag. And also, I'd like a redone version of DAO with Alistair as a m/m romance. And ME to provide us with m/m romance with Kaiden. Also, I'd like another xbox controller. pwease? :innocent:

Oh yeah, I think my gay demanding ability must be broken, because I've been asking for m/m romance in ME for 3 years. I best get a new one ... or take this one to the shop for repair.

Wait... what?

RetroActiv said that a Bethany romance might be "more interesting".

I meant that including Bethany as a romance options would have been more interesting than simply making everyone bi not that it would be more interesting or "above" than bi love intersts in general which I support by the way. ;)

At this point I really don't see sibling romances as being that far off. Anything goes right? :?

Do you wake up in the morning and wonder 'let's see how offensive I can be today'?

Ahem...

Slippery-slope: In debate or rhetoric, a slippery slope (also known as thin edge of the wedge, or the camel's nose) is a classic form of argument, arguably an informal fallacy. A slippery slope argument states that a relatively small first step leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant effect, much like an object given a small push over the edge of a slope sliding all the way to the bottom.[1] The strength of such an argument depends on the warrant, i.e. whether or not one can demonstrate a process which leads to the significant effect. The fallacious sense of "slippery slope" is often used synonymously with continuum fallacy,in that it ignores the possibility of middle ground and assumes a discrete transition from category A to category B. Modern usage avoids the fallacy by acknowledging the possibility of this middle ground.

Ex: If they allow BI Romance, soon they'll allow Incest and Bestiality! :o

Right, because incest is totally the same thing as bissexual romance options.  So we've got Strawman, False Equivilency, and Slippery Slope. Would anyone like to try for No True Scotsman?

This wasn't supposed to be a personal attack on you.  I was talking more about the people that have been openly and unapologetically homophobic.  I guess my problem with people saying they wouldn't  want to be with someone because they are attracted to both sexes seems closed-minded to me.  That being said, I can understand that not everyone thinks the way I do.  Evidently there is a straight romance option though if you count Sebastian, but he is a little celibate for my tastes.  All in all, I hope that it won't make such a big difference to you.  But if you enjoyed Zevran's romance, it probably won't be a huge issue :)

The only straight romance being celibate, that's got to be some kind of joke.  Hardy har har Bioware!   I don't have his DLC, so not even an issue for me (not sure if I'll get it or not).

"Closed minded," well people tend to be attracted to those like them- for the most part.  I just can't relate to that outlook so it puts me outside myself more, the same way that playing a male character, I was at more of a distance and mostly putting myself in the female LI's shoes as I was playing it.  There is also the issue that others have brought up, that Fenris' and Merrill's "status" being so unclear and seemingly keyed to fanservice rather than their story is something that makes me less enthused about them as LIs.  And since they were the two I was planning to go with... well, I don't like Isabela and have no interest in Anders, so I probably will stick to the original plan, but overall it adds to my sense of pessimism about the game.

I hear you. I totally thought Bioware would be above caving into to the petty and irrational demand of making all love interests bisexual. Fenris and Merril may not be "truly" bisexual as they were obviously "Bi-ed" up at the last minute. It definitely makes me wonder how seriously they've taken the game in general. I  totally share your pessimism.

This "ur closed minded if ur not gay" is just stupid and when someone says something that stupid one can simply reply "ur closed minded if ur not hetero".

Please refrain from attacking the poor straw man.
:crying:
What has he ever done to you?

Lol.

You know guys, I'd really like to talk about the actual romances, political bullsh*t aside but it just seems like people can't get past their own justification if somethings is "good" or "bad" or whatever classification you people need to have a good sleep at night.

It's in there, like it or don't like it but seriously enough with the name calling and all that rhetoric because your preference or political stance has nothing to do with the romances IN GAME.

Now does anyone else want to talk about the CHARACTERS and your Hawke's interaction, or lack thereof with them, romantically, or should we just wait for a ban stick and locked thread with our thumbs up our butts? <_<

Because, I, personally would love to talk about Seb and Fenris and my indecision about who to go for first/"cannon" playthrough, but it seems like everyone else is only interested in proving that the other is wrong and must convert to their opinion.

I still stand my ground on the fact that if one of the li's was 'bi-ed up' as you guys says, it was anders and not merril or Fenris.

Fenris was written by Gaider. Who wrote Zevran. I was suspicious of Fenris from the start. But Anders was in Awakening and arguably very straight in many eyes. and now he's bi? So you guys claiming Fen and Merrill as obviously bi-ed up is amusing. I like it. It makes me giggle just a little. =D

Thief - I'm totally torn at the moment about whether to go for Anders or Fenris.

Originally it was definitely going to be Anders ... because ... well, it's Anders <3

But that voice :o I'm so tempted by Fenris right now.

I'm torn. TORN I tell you.

You deserve a cookie, good man. I agree. No matter how much people whine, DA team has done what they did and the game will come out on shelves as is. If you don't want your characters bi, don't choose the very obviously labeled flirt dialogue.

Now I want to talk about........Hawke's epic failure pick-up lines. They trully deserve an achievement of their own. =D

And Fenris all the way!!! His voice and that almost smirk he did. <3<3<3
