I see Anders as most likely the sole-female LI.



It's just the vibe I got from him as I played awakening as a male character. Never really got any impressions that he went both ways. But than, I feel like it's the same with Fenris. After listening to his VA, and his little backstory and all, I don't really see him as bisexual either.



But at the same time, I'm not bisexual. So I don't really know how a bisexual is supposed to act. Blurgh, all well. I'm happy for the male li's!

Well... that sort of makes both of the male romances kind of unappealing to me. Yay.

Is a sane wall of quiet destruction and well placed wit really that much to ask for? Do they all have to be deranged homicidal maniacs?

I can not bother to read all 28 pages, but did anyone compare the Fenris and Anders romances to "Beauty and the Beast"?

Sounds like Hawke will need a nurturing, sensitive side to tame the savage beasts of Anders or Fenris and turn them into proper gentlemen.

Perhaps Fenris and Anders can be compared to transforming grapes into wine...  Or as humorist Dave Barry once deadpanned (paraphrase):

"You have to stomp the crap out of them to turn them into something that can be properly presented at dinner."

I'm still skeptical though on whether ANY of these will be to the quality of Alistair's romance, as that was the single most believable I've ever seen in a game, also the funniest, hell I guess I just liked Alistair as a character period.. here's hoping one of these lives up to it I suppose..

Poor Anders. I remember getting Wynne to tell me of how she came to the Circle. No chains, and while one Templar ignored her the other gave her sweets and let her sit on his shoulders at times so she could see the towns they passed better. Yet with Anders, it was in chains. I wonder if that is the difference between a stranger and a family member, or a difference between general understanding the kid needs to be somewhere else and outright fear and terror of what the child has become?



Also, I heard there will be non-Party romances. Any word on those, Chris, or another wait until we play? I'd be interested not in details of individuals necessarily but the range they fall in, like marriages of convenience or affects on your party/abilities/status/coffers. Nothing major, just an idea of what out-of-party romances could be like.

Poor Anders, though... I'm guessing the Warden-Commander might be the only truly fond memory of the Wardens that he has these days (assuming that you did his quest and ended Awakening on Friendly terms with him)...

Glad to see there ARE love interests. Too bad they couldn't ALL be possible love interests. But I'm guessing that would be an insane amount of voice acting and take up a lot of development time and disc space. *sigh* I hope that at least one of the males is bisexual so I can play as a dude and see some smexy fun times.
