Those stories were a good read. I had been kind of underwhelmed by the characters up to this point, but this gives me some hope.



Fenris looks kind of cool and showed a bit more personality than expected from his looks. I knew Anders was going to be interesting but that was just brutal. I hope there's an option to help Anders/Justice fix what's wrong with them, or at least balace out their new existence. Isabella's added nothing new but was still pretty amusing, Merril didn't actually do anything in hers but her narration did show some personality and it was a good setup for her backstory.



I'm looking forward to some of these romances, especially since the game is supposed to take place over 10 years. Isabella looks fun. Anders looks to have become a really complicated character which could make for some interesting developments. Fenris's personality is intriguing to me, even if I can't say much about his character yet. No opinion on Merril. Maybe once I see more of her.



For Bi options, if it's a choice between Anders and Fenris, Fenris wins for me by a very small margin. A world weary, action hero type gay love interest (which is what that short made him seem like) is a very rare thing in popular media. Usually it's some effeminate stereotype, someone promiscuous like Zevran, or a whiny emotional wreck. Something different would be welcome.

Poor Anders. I remember getting Wynne to tell me of how she came to the Circle. No chains, and while one Templar ignored her the other gave her sweets and let her sit on his shoulders at times so she could see the towns they passed better. Yet with Anders, it was in chains. I wonder if that is the difference between a stranger and a family member, or a difference between general understanding the kid needs to be somewhere else and outright fear and terror of what the child has become?

Also, I heard there will be non-Party romances. Any word on those, Chris, or another wait until we play? I'd be interested not in details of individuals necessarily but the range they fall in, like marriages of convenience or affects on your party/abilities/status/coffers. Nothing major, just an idea of what out-of-party romances could be like.

I really do hope there are some non-party romances too. *coughNathanielcough*

Really? Wow, I guess I should call up the majority of my friends and let them know that we shouldn't hang out anymore. What's all this nonsense about only being able to connect with people who share your sexuality? Surely there are more things in life you can connect with a person over other than who you like to boink? Believe it or not, I can connect pretty damn well with my straight guy friends, just by being a guy! Wait no, scratch that, just by being a human!  You don't sound like a bigot to me, just extremely naive. Methinks you've led a rather sheltered life.

XDDDDDD ok, that was pure WIN!!!! Yes, I do think anders is the bi option... this is kinda odd.. but I think my "gaydar" is hitting on him as bi! XDDDDD

By that definition, our main stands the chance to be the most unhinged person ever.  I mean, what you described is just what EVERYONE does in these games, NPC or PC.  All that tells me is he can apparently fight so he's material for an adventurer's band or a mercenary group at least.
