I don't understand this comment, if only because Fenris is like Anti-Zevran. He couldn't be more different than Superman compared to Batman.

Isabela's Leliana 2.0. Not only are they both human, but they're both rogues too. There's no escaping that one, BioWare dropped the ball there.

While I'm disappointed that Varric isn't an LI, at least when I romance the other companions, I won't have any preconceptions about what they're like. Fenris and Anders might surprise me, Isabella, too. And I'm hoping that Merrill will be bi, but I'm guessing she won't be. So I'll even create a male Hawke to try out her romance, too. Should be interesting.

Isabela: Her boobs are too big, she's too fat, she needs pants, rewrite her as a nun because being a pirate nun would be awesome, less flirtation, less ****ty, less female. Give her no boobs, make sure she's thin as a stick because she's a rogue. Take my word for it. Olive Oil was HAWT. There's a reason why Popeye wanted to TAP THAT.

Fenris: Beiber hair? White hair? Anime bishie? OMG, really? And he looks SO gay. And an elf. And tattoos. Because I cannot stand comparing my appearance to a fantasy character, therefore feel very inadequate when women online that I don't know are busier fawning and appreciating a fantasy character as opposed to ME who they SHOULD fawn over, I would prefer you just get rid of him all together or replace him with an unnattractive qunari.

Anders: Cannibalistic abomination who wears a skirt and has a spirit inside him.... mmmm... okay. Because ladies are still interested in him, I find him still threatening and would recommend you make him look like a sack of meat or at least a broodmother. That would be great.

Please. Take these criticisms into account and be sure to make changes accordingly. I know better because I am a fan, not because I know anything about the future of the story or really much about these characters at all.

There aren't any actual Orlesians.  They're all really from Fereldan. An entire country made up of people from another country. When Loghain discovered this, it turned him evil!

Even my 'Orlesian' Warden in Awakening is actually Fereldan from her accent. Zut alors!

Sleeping with Zevran was easy. Getting him to fall in love with you was harder, but rewarding. My dwarf noble wouldn't be the same without his boyfriend.

well, the game takes place over 10 years, and her age is never given, I think elves just look young.

Zevran was forced into a life of servitude to the Crows against his will, Fenris was forced into a life of servitude to a Magister against his will.
Zevran was trained to be a killing machine, Fenris was trained to be a killing machine.
Zevran showed virtually no regret for his crimes. Fenris takes pleasure in killing those hunting him.
Zevran would joke about magical bosoms at odd times, Fenris noticed a random womans cleavage while fleeing.
Zevran was tattooed and tan with fair hair, Fenris is tattooed and tan with fair hair.
Zevran needed the Warden's help against the crows, Fenris will need Hawke's help against the Magister's hunters.

I don't think Fenris is a carbon copy the way some people make it sound but there are similarities aside from just being an elf.

I'm just happy we got four freaking AWESOME stories when we didn't have to.



My favorite was probably Anders. If only because I imagine it was written by the character writer herself, who also is responsible for the Branka Anvil / Broodmother story. I like myself some dark and creepy.

Agree. The Hespeth bit was my favourite part of Origins. The prospect of a crazed, sinister Anders makes me disturbed disturbingly happy.  Just because of this, I repeat my squeeeeeeee!
