OK, I saw somebody else bring up the argument again that Anders would be bisexual because Justice is sharing his body. WHY would that have any effect on his sexuality??? Justice/Vengeance is a spirit of Justice/Vengeance...who will probably be more concerned about...Justice/Vengeance rather than who he's going to have sex with?????

He's not the freaking Spirit of Love and Sexuality.

Because sexuality is not a binary. Being bisexual (obviously) doesn't exclude attraction to one gender or the other.

Besides which, in DA:O and Awakening, it was played pretty coy with most homosexual dialogue. For instance: Zevran preferred women, and if you didn't give him permission to flirt with your male Warden, he would never again mention an interest in men. However, he would still flirt constantly with female party members. If he were in a game like Awakening, where interaction was shallower and didn't involve love interests, it's not difficult to imagine we'd be having this same discussion about his sexuality and whether or not he's totally straight because he only vocalized interest in women. 

There are a variety of reasons that could be used to explain why Anders didn't express interest in men during Awakening. Maybe he's more interested in women. Maybe he didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. Maybe the males present just weren't his type.

Prehaps because it's more just to be equal in his sexual preferences, rather then unjustly prefer one sex over the other? 

But no, I agree that's a daft arguement for Anders being the bi option

I know for a fact that Isabella will be bisexual, she was in origins. So there's the Female one as for the male, I say it's our buddy Fen, because lets face it, the ppl want at least one elf to do the nasty with the chara, no matter what genre lol

I'm not against Anders being bi. I am, however, against THAT particular argument for the reason why because as you've said, it IS a daft one. But a few people seem to support it

although I recognize the sarcasm in that one post I saw it in here. but still, I've seen it in other threads.

There is evidence to support that Justice might be interested in love, though nothing specifically about which sex. After he talks to Aura in the chantry, Justice says that Aura and Kristoff really loved each other, and he envies that.

Expressing an interest in women does not automatically exclude an interest in men -- indeed, the supposed interest is going to be bisexual, and therefore WILL have an interest in women. So, uh, an interest in women is not really evidence, it's really neither here nor there.

As for me, my money is on Anders because I think the writers probably avoided writing yet another bisexual pretty elf man. If there was no Zevran, though, my money would have been on Fenris.

I've played the game, I know he flirts with and talks about women. But so does Zevran, and to a much greater degree. I'm just trying to point out to you that an interest in women doesn't exclude an interest in men. Anders might be heterosexual... but he might also be bisexual. All your argument proves is that he's indeed attracted to women, which would be silly to deny. What neither of us can prove yet is whether or not he's also attracted to men.

So long story short, I don't think he can be ruled out.

Anders has definitely shown interest in women mostly. But being a circle mage they are a little more open when it comes to sexuality, so it can go swing either way. methinks. But my money is on Fenris, bugger is just too pretty to be straight.



Though to play both sides, anyone remember in Awakening when Howe asked if Anders wears his robes all the time? That whole way he said "not when I'm not naked I don't" to Nathaniel had me questioning him a wee bit.

1: Bisexuals like men and women... liking women is a prerequisit for bisexuality.
2: Your definition of "continuously" is questionable. He mentions liking (not loving, he never once says love) women 3 times and one of those can easily be attributed to teasing Velanna.
3: He has a new writer who can do anything she wants with him
4: None of the Qunari we met in Origins had horns either.
5: If you're allowed to brush everyone else's arguments aside then fair is fair.

I am hopeful that Anders is bi, however I was playing Awakenings the other day and heard this conversation:


Anders: You don't actually think your jokes are funny, do you?
Oghren: Could have sworn that fly was buzzing again.
Anders: "HAR! Let me tell you about my life in one word!" (Belches)
Oghren: "Oh no! Don't take me back to the tower! I'm far, far too delicate!"
Anders: "I'm not only a dwarf, I'm a moron! Listen to me fart!"
Oghren: "Oh no, big templar man! What are you going to do with that sword?"
Anders: Eww.
Oghren: Don't play with fire unless you want to get burned, son.


I couldn't tell if he was going "ew" because of the implied homosexuality, or the fact that it was simply a vulgur joke.

Don't forget that sexuality is fluid guys, seriously.

I knew friends of mine who swore up and down they were straight as a nail, hit on the boxom ladies, couldn't wait to watch the next sexy megan fox film, and then a year later they were gayer than a unicorn eating skittles and pooping rainbows to the beat of Lady Gaga remixes.

I'm just saying.

Just because Anders didn't flirt with the male Warden or say he wanted to make sweet love to Nathaniel Howe does NOT take him out of the bisexual circle. That's like saying 'Dude. In Fenris short story he oggled that ladies bust and so HE IS STRAIGHT. Totally straight. Never bi. HE OGGLED !'

Let anders out of the closet too. He has his chance. Debating his sexuality is frustrating.

As a bisexual man, Zevran was rather insulting, having the only bisexual man being sexually deviant, and yes I played a playthrough as male warden who made it clear we were only friends and he pursued to hit on me, if that was just a bug on my disc I would be shocked.

And to compare someone who openly hits on both sexes to one that has only shown interest in females is rather dumb
