Why? Why do it? Maybe we should take videogames less seriously and just enjoy them for the fun that they are? It isn't meant to represent reality. Its suppose to be fun.

2.If you want to flip out and be a badass with a sword, why not just play Devil May Cry or God of War?  3.Games with narratives (like RPGs) should be at least trying to be quality (like New Vegas).

Heavy rain had a sex scene with boobies to a much further extent than most videos games put in.

2.Just because a game involves lots of butt kicking and flips shouldn't make you take it any less seriously, Games are a diffrent artform than books and movies, and are expressed in diffrent ways.

3.Because a game dosesn't have Narrative it isn't good in quality? and new vegas was one of the worst quality games of this gen.

Yeah...I'm not liking the drama thing there. There's a point for me where drama becomes too much drama. Anders pretty much tapdanced all over that line.

There are games that are created to be serious. Braid and Limbo come to mind.

Dragon Age is not created to be serious. It shouldn't be taken seriously, but people always will take it seriously.

I enjoyed it too,

But it was of terrible game quality, the buggiest game i have ever played within the last 5 years. 
Story was flawed for plenty of reasons, Did more of the same that f3 did, And the Wasteland for the most part was bland. Even New vegas looked bland in day time.

Was fun, but that's just because they copied and pasted what 3 did

So hmmm Isa or Merill, tough call. I mean ideally I'd say good M, and evil Isa, but Bioware has done a good job lately on letting you have both good and evil romances with different characters. While I may not agree with Isabella's view points, I think a rivalry romance might be kinda fun.

Am I the only one to notice how terrible the writing is??

The cave mouth is unbearably spooky, even for Sundermount, which you’d think was trying for some sort of spookiness medal.

Whoever wrote that, should try his luck in the annual Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest for the most terrible novel opening line. Let me quote Bulwer-Lytton's first line of Paul Clifford:

It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at
occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind
which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely
agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the
darkness.

Those stories are more less the same niveau. Well done.

This material helped me make up my mind. DA2 is the first big budget RPG I'm not buying :/

I get the impression the "evil" option for guys may actually be the bi one.

Isabela comes across as rebellious and fun, not necessarily burn-kittens like Morrigan was.

Woah woah, I totally missed that. I think you have to be in a romance or high approval (both?) with Zevran for him to say that line, because I had like maybe 75% approval when that confrontation happened and never got to see that line ;_;

EDIT: For the curious, I looked it up on Dragon Age wiki and apparently when Taliesan confronts Zevran, Zevran will decline to fight and say that it makes him sad because they were "friends once, and more." Tooooooootally didn't get that line when this happened to me.

You have to be in a romance with Zev, but NOT at adore, and you can't say that he no longer needs the Crows; he will then leave the fight, presumably because he can't choose between two people he actually has cared about. 

The "friends once, and more" line can come up if you talk to him after the fight. In the toolset, the voice actor notes for that line states they were lovers.  Of course, the toolset may also be taken with a grain of salt, but the note was made at one point in time.

Marginally on-topic, thanks to the writers for these stories. I am actually seriously excited as of yesterday.
