Honestly though is anyone here really surprised? I think it was pretty obvious looking at the roster of companions for DA2 for anyone to surmise who the love interests were gonna be.

I admit to being a bit surprised its Anders and not Varric. I would have thought what with messed up angry emo elf boy wonder that the other male LI would ahve been a bit more "normal" guy rather than weirdo anders.

The short stories were all well done, kudos to the writers. I hope to see more of them for the other companions.

I wasn't thrilled with Varric, but would have taken the dwarf over freakish Anders any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

i dont want to look gay but i have to say so far, fenris looks awesome. he actually looks like someone who is well trained and will not hesitate to bring down anyone in his way. if i make a lady hawke, he will be my romance for sure. and well still debating about which female i would like to romance :/

That's what I'm hoping for as well I want a cute NPC guy to have an m/m romance with.
Sadly I have this feeling that if there even are any npc romances that can progress beyond mere flirtation or a one off tumble in the hay the are going to be strictly straight only.

well i didnt read through all the pages as well but im pretty sure the main romances are bisexual and will sex with either gender.

Because that would be silly. If you take an average random group of people, one or two might be interested in the same sex, but most will probably not. Really half of the LI's being same-sex options is already being pretty generous if you think about it, no? 

I don't understand this reasoning... opening all four to either sex relationship does not subtract anything to straight LIs, so I don't see why people should be bothered.

It's true that breasts come in all sizes - in Mass Effect, in real life, in Uncharted, in Baldur's Gate 2 - but in Origins and DA2, it would appear that anything less than a D cup is an abberation.

You know they have mods for that...

As for who is bi and not...Jack almost screams bi or lesbian in her Mass Effect 2 conversations and attitude, if not her looks. But she turns you down. The Devs make decisions and move on to the next problem. Isabella has already been established in DAO as "morally loose" so it fits.

It makes sense that a straight Merril is into older human men. There seems to a pattern of pretty elven men playing both sides of the fence.

I think they don't have dwarven LI is because they can't work out the proper kinematics for the cut scenes....

Anyway, I think that the bissexual option is Anders.

Since I've played Awakening I always though that he was not bissexual, but homossexual. I really can't point the reason, perhaps it is his voice, or the gifts we give him... I always though of him as my character's "gay friend". Even the way he flirted with girls to me didn't sound natural at all, it sounded like he was trying to "overcompensate", hide his true feelings.

Anyway, there's also the "double personality" thing, and that in itself is already a good "plot hook" for adding this feature.

ooh ok, in that sense I understand (even if I think, being a game, they should give the choice between the two - after all, in real-life you don't have only 4 persons around in ten years ).
