Looked like a troll to me.

This is fascinating to see how obsessed people are to faces. I realize I am somewhat obsessed to big boobs though, but still.

I am wondering how it would be to say to some girl "i love ur face" loool.

As a bisexual man, Zevran was rather insulting, having the only bisexual man being sexually deviant, and yes I played a playthrough as male warden who made it clear we were only friends and he pursued to hit on me, if that was just a bug on my disc I would be shocked.
And to compare someone who openly hits on both sexes to one that has only shown interest in females is rather dumb

Do you make comments about both sexes, all the time?  I don't.  Most people don't realize I'm bisexual until they've known me for a while, because I'm married to a woman and have a child.  But I also have ex-boyfriends, and my wife and I have a standing agreement that either of us can "bag" Nathan Fillion if we ever get him drunk enough (which of course will never happen, it's a joke!).

Most of the time, in public, I don't comment about men, because it makes a lot of folks uncomfortable, and I don't see the point in being a walking stereotype.  Among friends, I'm more open.

Well, I don't think Zevran is typical.  He grew up in Antiva where bisexuality may have been widely accepted and therefore found no problem hitting on both males and females openly and equaly.  He also grew up in a ****house before he got sold to the Crows; yet another reason why he might be quite open to flirting with both sexes.

I've noticed that with most bisexual men I know. Usually they've mentioned being bisexual once or twice, but will pretty much only comment on women, especially in public.

In a society where "gay panic" is a valid defense to get away with murder that's usually the sane thing to do in public.

As a female, I think I would prefer "I love your face" to "I love your boobs".  Just sayin'.... Posted Image

Guess my hubby is gay because he loves cats. Another stereotype about gays. Like I said before, who cares who is gay and who is not. Why does it matter so much to you. One will be and one won't be. Why not just go on to a new topic. Bioware is obviously not going to say who is and who isn't which is their perogative.

Really? Puzzles me big time what's the difference. Can't really understand it, but I am quite sure I would rather say "i love ur boobs" than "i love ur face". I could though say "your face is very beautiful".

The same sex options for romances were not announced before Dragon Age Origins came out, even though most people assumed Zevran would be the m/m option, it was unknown whether Leliana or Morrigan would be romanceable for female characters until the strategy guide leak occurred.

I think we'll have the same sort of situation this time, probably minus the leak.

I'm just saying, if I had a choice, I would prefer someone to say they love my face before they love my boobs.  My boobs are just appendages.  Attractive appendages, apparently, but just appendages to me.  My face, however, that's my identity.  Being told someone loves my face has more impact than being told someone loves my boobs.

I don't want to sound greedy, but why there must be four heterosexual and only two homosexual options? Couldn't they be all four opened to everyone?

Because that would be silly. If you take an average random group of people, one or two might be interested in the same sex, but most will probably not. Really half of the LI's being same-sex options is already being pretty generous if you think about it, no?

I don't understand this reasoning... opening all four to either sex relationship does not subtract anything to straight LIs, so I don't see why people should be bothered.

True, it wouldn't bother me that much, it's just that sexuality is part of a character, and making every character bisexual would just seem like fan-service to me. Unless you make a fantasy world where sexuality is completely fluid, I just wouldn't buy four of your party members just happening to be into both sexes. But maybe that's just me. :]

I wouldn't be disturbed if a male companion would be programmed to be (potentially) gay if one plays with a male character and potentially straight if one plays with a female Hawke (the same for female companions of course). After all, each game is separate and each companion is characterized by much more than just his/her sexuality.
But perhaps it's just me, I can understand if other people wouldn't like that because confusing.

The difference is when you say "I love your boobs" you're basically objectifying a sexual aspect as opposed to saying "I love your face" where you're objectifying the primary feature than identifies the person you are speaking to.

The fact that you see no difference between loving someone's breasts vs their face says alot about the depth of your relationships.

Appendage? Heh, well one could use engi language and say so.

Thanks for explaining that face thing. Face represents identity to people. I should
had seen that myself but I was thinking in my way.

Telling a woman that you love her boobs is sexual objectification, which a lot of women find very offensive. You're saying the feature that catches your attention is one linked almost exclusively to sex. That translates to you finding sex more appealing than emotion or a deeper relationship. Saying you love her face tells her the opposite. You're not just looking at her as an object meant for pleasing you, but as a human being you can identify with. You're paying attention to the feature that is used to communicate. There's a very big difference in them.

I think I understand your point of view. You see it as both statements are a compliment to be grateful of. There's subtext you're missing out on, though.

I know that sexual objectification thing and see it as highly hypocritical, black & white, and contradicting phenomenon. I was just wondering why it is so acceptable to see so much in faces and nothing in boobs. And the answer was that face represents identity. Like some ID card with a picture of a face. You see I just watch emotions from faces and not identity.

Edit: And a beautiful face is just an "appendage", lol, to use this engi language.

Not sure whether this has been asked, but will it be possible to pursue several romances in the same playthrough ? Even for a champion, ten years of monogamy seem quite heroic.

I am very sure it is possible, no worries.

I though will play as "myself" and wont begin to do approval whoring in the first playthrough. So I guess I wont run into multiple romances problems lol.

I think it started when talking about the character models for Isabella and Merril and their seemingly big gazongas.

But you're right, it's a digression of the main topic.

So... I'm adding another SQUEEEEE regarding Anders as an LI.  Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

No, it isn't good or useful. Faces are never referred to as appendages in English.
