You're too young to remember Baldur's Gate 2, I take it? Two of your companions get together in that; if you've been nice to one of them, the other comes to you and politely asks you to back off so he can pursue her. I think that was the first game I ever saw where Bioware had NPCs who seemed almost like real people; they even bantered and sometimes you had to take a side in their arguments.
Is that Hear'Dalis and Aerie, I never recruited him though I know he can form a relationship with Aerie (to be fair I only rarely recruit her as well, due to not liking her much at first, though once I gave her a shot in one playthrough I realised she was allot better then I initially gave her credit for)
I think it is the pally whose stats sucked and Aerie.
Edit: Or maybe cleric?
Hmm, I hardly ever get them (though I did get Keldorn sometimes, and usually get him to stay with his family, it seems like the right decision)
Was Keldorn not the old paladin? He have a wife to whom he naturally is loyal.
Edit: And yes, definetly the right choise. The paladin has been long gone from home, is old, and his wife has been missing him. Better not risk he dies and can never spend time with his family.
