Was Keldorn not the old paladin? He have a wife to whom he naturally is loyal.
Ah yeah, then it must be Annomen, the cleric guy. Never recruited him, he always sounded irritating whenever I met him, and I had to think about putting up with that through the whole game and thought better of it.
Edit: I'm not sure if DA2 will allow you to have a family, but might be an interesting part of the story if done right (though it it were done wrong it could be terrible). It could give an added depth to your PC if implimented well

Does anyone know if you can marry and/or have kids with a LI? Over ten years you would think you could start a family.
It's been said that having kids is not a feature in DA2. Getting married, however, I'm not sure about.

HearDalis the bard is the NPC that start a romance with Aeri the mage/cleric. I heard rumors that is because Heardalis was supposed to be an option for female Bhallspawn like Anomen but his romance got cut and they used the existing lines for his banter with Aeri.Curlain wrote...

Anomen it must be. And yes, very irritating.

Ah so it was the bard who had an obsession with ravens

You're too young to remember Baldur's Gate 2, I take it? Two of your companions get together in that; if you've been nice to one of them, the other comes to you and politely asks you to back off so he can pursue her. I think that was the first game I ever saw where Bioware had NPCs who seemed almost like real people; they even bantered and sometimes you had to take a side in their arguments.
Is that Hear'Dalis and Aerie, I never recruited him though I know he can form a relationship with Aerie (to be fair I only rarely recruit her as well, due to not liking her much at first, though once I gave her a shot in one playthrough I realised she was allot better then I initially gave her credit for)
Yes, Haer'dalis and Aerie the Annoying One.

BG NPCs also had friendships or rivalries. Minsc, for example, and Keldorn. Kel could actually control Minsc's berserker rage for him, and in return Minsc hero-worships him as an exemplar of Good. Also, Minsc's happier when you convince Aerie or Nalia to become his 'witch'. They share a lot of banter, and you help the new 'witch' understand her role and relate to the big guy.

I agree that Merrill should be an f/f option. I also really like the reasoning behind this, and think that it would make sense.prazision wrote...
Bisexual Merrill makes sense if she really is "naive/virginal". She could be intimidated and scared by big strong boys, but find comfort in the arms of a gentle woman.

I know.. all day at work on the 22nd I'm going to be like "Is it time to go yet? Is it time to go yet?" I'll be completely worthless.

Holy crap. I thought people were exaggerating about Anders/Justice being a cannibal. Not so much. That's very creepy.

Boy, I sure hope that Anders isn't in the party when we meet Alistair, or that Alistair is very drunk at the time, or this could get ugly. No, I take that back. I don't want him to be that drunk. I want to talk to him and hopefully have some kind of quest, so he can't be that drunk. OMG, danger, Will Robinson. I really don't want Alistair and Anders fighting to the death. That would be horrifying.

Forgive me for not reading 60 (!) pages of commentary but I have a curiosity about Anders background. It states in the DA:A Epilogue that The Warden did not remain at VK either. Wouldn't it be possible that Anders left when The Warden did (or shortly after) because he didn't like the 'new management' - or vice versa? That could certainly explain his presence in Kirkwall. Just a thought! =)
I would read the Anders short story if I were you (on page 1). Might give you better insight as to why he left.

I'm wondering how they're going to bring Anders into the party without many Hawkes feeling the need to kill him as fast as humanly possible. He may not technically be an abomination since he can regain control, but he's pretty damn close.
Heavy-handed railroading, obviously. Judging from some previews, Hawke is initially unaware of Anders's true nature, but gets to deal with some unpleasant consequences later on. Anders is an Abomination - if you recall, Connor was also able to regain control at times. Unless the story provides a really compelling reason to do otherwise, my Hawke will be putting him down ASAP.

hmm..that i will definitely give you. alright then..from the screenshots i got the impression thay fenris is a bamf, bearing in mind of course this is only my opinion. i was sort of thinking of the two terms bamf and badboy interchangeably, but i can see how one may not see one as the other.Riona45 wrote...

Probably not, but Fenris' short story and the small amount of video we've seen suggest he's a BAMF.
I would argue that being a BAMF and being a "Bad Boy" (as most people tend to understand that trope) aren't necessarily the same thing.

Good point, he did. Anders is a trained mage, so he could be better at doing so.... But Uldred didn't seem to be able to regain control at all. I think I'm a bit confused by this, but Anders does seem to be an abomination. *Sigh* I probably don't have to worry about Alistair killing him when/if they meet, more like whether my PC has to kill him herself.
