Maybe its time for moderators to lock the thread. It has seriously gone off track and is hurdling over the side of the mountain into the abyss. Went from a nice thread introducing the LI's ( with cool back stories) into ..... well I don't know what. But it needs to get back on track.

Regarding the incest requests, for the love of....I'm a very very liberal person but seriously this is plain creepy and disturbing. For those asking for Carver/Beth LI, STOP IT. Incest is illegal in pretty much every country , even in those regions/stateswhere it is not a criminal offense there are still prohibitions against it. The "but sex between consenting adults..." argument is very controversial when applied to incest, so it's not gonna fly. Gross!

felt I'd make this known because I'm really random. I've actually talked to a bunch of straight dudes who said that Zev is maybe the only person they'd ever have hot steamy man smexi time with, if he existed. Thankfully, he doesn't because if he did we'd have the pitter-patter of many Zev babies, making even more Zev babies. Eventually, we'd all be Zev babies. Some might end up being prom night dumpster babies sadly.

This is a really, really random post, but I kinda like it.

I've gotta say, if Zev existed irl, I'd be all over him like that rash Oghren got in Awakening. Say what you will about him being promiscuous or not ... his sensuality is all kinds of hot.

What? No Sebastian???? I want my exiled prince! I know he's DLC but still.... It's a travesty to have a character that hot and not let us romance him. It's Anders in Awakening all over again.



There is a tiniest bit of hope that I'll be delightfully surprised with a romance with him... but that hope is VERY small.... More likely they'll just say he has some simpering fiance.

Fenris does sound really interesting but I am highly intrigued by Anders story  It really picked my interests and got my emotions going. My heart went out to him. So I may go for Anders first and then Fenris. They are all really great though

If not my second playthrough will be LadyHawke and she'll be all over Isabela who reminds me somewhat of a female version of Gambit.

You know, this may be the only game where I willingly and enthusiastically pursue all the relationship options. I've done them all in ME1, but really only so I have saves to import through the trilogy (I'm a Kaidan person, myself ... er, if you hadn't already worked that out). In ME2 I've done Miranda, Jack (both ways), Liara or celibate/faithful to ME1. In DA:O I've only done Zev and Alistair. But in DA2, man if they don't all sound really interesting.

And look at all the possibilities for replay:

mHawke: 2 x Isabela romances (friendship/rivalry path); 2 x Merrill romances (friendship/rivalry path); 2 x mystery bi LI romances (friendship/rivalry path).

fHawke: 2 x Fenris romances (friendship/rivalry path); 2 x Anders romances (friendship/rivalry path); 2 x Isabela romances (friendship/rivalry path).

That's 12 different ways a romance could play out. Count 'em people: TWELVE. (If there really are significant differences between a rivalry/friendship romance ... which I really hope there are, and it's not just the culminating sex scene that is staged somewhat differently. Because that would be sad.)

Exactly!  This is what I mean when I say I can't tell the parody from the sincere weirdness anymore.  I'm sorry, I am incredibly liberal and I both vote and live my politics.  In game, my Shepard and my Warden and, very soon, my Hawke are all lesbians.  I have friends who make up all the shapes and colors of the LGBTQ and straight spectrums.  I think the alien romance options in the Mass Effect series are intersting and exceptionally well-realized.  But incest?  Really?  I honestly don't know if people are bringing this up for the lols or if they just don't get that it's requests like "Pleeze devs, I can haz romance with my sister, kthanks!" that gives the entire concept of romance options and even fan support of them a bad name. 

Seriously, if you need to have it explained why it's creepy, there's 90% of the problem already.  Incest is a moral, biological, and genetic no-no.  And don't even try to pair it up with other sexual minorities because it's not the same, nomatter how you parse it under "consenting adults."  It's inappropriate in every sense of the word, and it has no place in any reasonable, grown-up discussion of the games or romance options. 

Edit- and by all appearances we are back on track, so I'm going to shut the hell up now.  :happy:

A truly liberal person would present a better argument than 'STOP IT Gross! '. The attitude towards incest here is exactly like that towards gays less than a generation ago, There really is absolutely no reason why two consenting adults acan't perform incest other than outdated morals imposed on society by religion. Again, I'm not talking about child birth.

So I will continue to ask for a Beth romance. Its a free country and I'm not doing anything wrong. Your bigoted attitude is not my problem. And you seem to find it difficult to distinguish between a romance in a video game and real life.

I'm really hoping what you suggest is the case.  I'd love for the romances to be different depending on rivalry/friendship.  I would be a sad panda if romances play out the same way.  Because, I mean, if I have a rivalry with Anders, I can't imagine our romance being "soft and tender".
