No, it's not.  I live in a red state.  This is what it's like at on the internet where there is no moderation.

Very true.  I've seen fairly innocuous threads locked down fast and hard for being either repetitive or even potentially controversial.  But despite the influx of of mega-drama and disquieting squick in this thread, it seems to go on and on.  I agree that it's probably beyond salvage and needs to be put down.

Regarding the incest requests, for the love of....I'm a very very liberal person but seriously this is plain creepy and disturbing. For those asking for Carver/Beth LI, STOP IT. Incest is illegal in pretty much every country , even in those regions/stateswhere it is not a criminal offense there are still prohibitions against it. The "but sex between consenting adults..." argument is very controversial when applied to incest, so it's not gonna fly. Gross!

I just became homophobic in this thread after seeing how much queers hate heterosexual men who dare to say they don't want to be forced to do sexual actions they dislike in games. Was very enlightening experience to say the least.

Ah yes, the real gay agenda: Force the modern straight boy to have to get it on with digital hairy men in the middle of their COD match in order to progress to the next stage. >

How's this for an argument?  The devs have repeatedly said NO.  And they used to lock any thread created for this topic.  So now they're being indulgent with a thread that's supposed to be about the actual romances in the game, and it's trollish because it seems that people are taking advantage of that to push squick fantasies rather than discuss the game as it actually is.

So, to do that now:  I'm interested to see how an "official" Dalish-Hawke romance is implemented.  My Dalish PCs all went with Alistair, so I'm used to spinning out my own idea of how that would work, but looking forward to seeing how the writers approach it.  On my 2nd or 3rd playthrough, that is.  After I've exhausted Fenris.

I just think it's funny that the reason family members were incorporated in the first place was because they wanted to create another dynamic to connect with characters that WASN'T a romance, and now people are rallying for those characters to be LI's too. lol.

There is nothing insane about requesting an incest romance in a video game. Nothing at all. It would infact be the deepest most complex of the lot.

felt I'd make this known because I'm really random. I've gotta say, if Zev existed irl, I'd be all over him like that rash Oghren got in Awakening. Say what you will about him being promiscuous or not ... his sensuality is all kinds of hot.

Zevran was fine, I had nothing against him (except I disapproved he surrendered to me without trying to kill me soon again). Actually I felt sympathy to him because of his hard childhood and liked how honest and cheerful he was. Also he "approached" me very carefully and politely, so I had no issues with him. When I saw what he have in mind I went on for the sake of experience, effectively lying to him, and felt bad both during it and afterwards. Got the trophy, but seriously don't want to do that again for trophy.

^ or perhaps it'd be more appropriate for people who want a sister/brother romance, to ask for it once DA3 is announced?...LIs for DA2 have already been developed right? so no point asking for it if the devs already said NO.

Some consolation for those who didn't get their favorite choice of LI:  Payroo's latest comic, The BioWare Bar of Non-LI's

I would have been interested in both a Varric or Aveline romance myself, but I'm glad that there are some characters who just aren't that into the PC.  Hopefully it will make the story and your PC character development more well-rounded, to have a range of dynamics with different characters.

For the rest, there's always fanfiction and fanart.

I'm really wondering that as well.  Or more generally, I wonder where Anders ends and the spirit begins.  I am curious if Anders is going to represent two character in one, with wholly distinct wants, needs, requests, and possibly even Friendship/Rivalry tracks.  So far, the characters we've seen influenced by these supposedly benevolent spirits, Wynn and Kristoff/Justice, have experienced very different "possesions."  Wynn was more or less bound to the life force of her spirit, but not necessarily the will.  Kristoff's soul was wholly absent, but his memories and experiences held significant sway over Justice, nonetheless. 

Anders, on the other hand, seems to be literally sharing his body with the spirit.  This could make for interesting conversations and as well as a highy unusual romance.

I have seen heterophobia has gone really big time out of hand in this thread. One person even claimed he called to the dev and asked how Isabella is, and then claimed the dev revealed Isabella to be a hetero hater and more.
