A week won't give me enough time to enjoy this at its full extent.... My F!Hawke is going to be overwhelmed by the dishes at her disposal. And it'll make sense, considering she's a country girl out in the middle of Lothering who suddenly is in the company of a Sexy Pirate, a Sexy Mage, and a Sexy Elf. She'll all be like ".... this is the real world? OMG D: I don't wanna LEAVE"

I hope this too. I found it annoying in Origins that right after my Dalish Warden fights a corrupted Tamlen in front of the whole party, the only one who says anything is Alistair, and even then it's just 'well, he's better off dead anyway'. I was romancing Zevran at the time, wandered over to him and he's all like 'let's talk about sex now'. I hope in DA2, the characters recognise your hard decisions, especially the LI. At the very least that you can talk about dead Carver/Bethany.

And I mean gay in the highest complimentary way, like when you call a straight man so straight looking he'd still pass an alcohol test walking in a straight line with an Alcohol Blood Level Content of 5.0

I really hope so too! And I think we could get definitely see this happen since the game is all about Hawke (whereas DAO was about the Blight and the Wardens so the Warden's personal issues were not important in the scheme of things).

That's what I'm hoping, and it will also give the player more insight into Hawke since I don't think we really know much about his/her life growing up. Give and take relationships help both characters to understand more.

I for one have put many things, both mentionable and unmentionable, in those Allied Supply Crates. It's practically canon.

Re: Can only romance Anders if rival with Justice comments, this would deeply sadden me. It would also detract from an edgier romance, which is what I was hoping for with this LI. But I do expect there might be some different romance paths alla Jack from ME2 depending on friendship/rivalry, and some might be about love while others are just sex. I'm really hoping they're all unique for the 12 combinations somebody mentioned previously... seeing as I played so many characters in DA:O just to experience the game with different permanent party members and try all the dialogue options... it'd be nice if there were enough different romance experiences to keep up with that.

I'm planning on starting with Isabela, no competition. Then whoever is the male bisexual LI (reeeeeally hoping for Fenris, just because I love characters who used to be enslaved/tortured/experimented on) will get some mHawke loving. I prefer to choose the s/s option whenever I can, even if it means I won't be playing my own gender, simply because I identify more with the idea of a homosexual relationship than with the heterosexual one.



I'm really hoping Merill will be bi too, then she'll go before the male bi char, but if not, then she'll be the third (I'll just make a very androgynous Hawke and pretend he's genderqueer).



I'm still not sure about Anders. I loved him in Awakening but the abomination thing is just... Well, we'll see. After seeing the game I think I'll be able to tell if I want to go there with him.



On the subject of incest, (I know it's semi-closed but I can't resist): relationships with siblings/any member of your close family are never equal. There is a power imbalance which is impossible to deny. There is "omg I can't lose my sibling/parent/other relative forever so I have to keep up the relationship even if maybe I don't want to" issue. There's other messy psychological stuff. At best, it's dubious consent. At worst, it's statutory rape. In any case, the 'two consenting adults' argument is on shaky ground, if it even stands at all. All the other stuff, like legal issues and the social stigma attached to it, I believe were mentioned, and were declared not enough of an argument.
