Well, I'd imagine (I'd hope) that their sexuality is dependent on the player character's gender, and whether or not (s)he expresses interest in them. If my female character wants to romance Anders, then Anders is straight. If my female character wants to get all up in Merrill's... grill... then Merrill loves her some lady-lovin'.

Of course, there are canonically bisexual characters, like Zevran and Isabela... but beyond that, I'd hope that romances conform to how the player acts.

Can I have your stuff once the mob is done with you?  I mean, I'm not part of the mob, but I am happy to repurpose your belongings anyway.  Preferably cool electronics.

But it would be a really fascinating development and a poignant line of dialogue, the kind of thing to make or break a relationship between Hawke and either man.  I wouldn't mind seeing it.

I wouldn't mind seeing it. I WOULD mind playing it. Poignant moments are great in cinema, but if I have to be on the receiving end of a poignant moment, it's going to be Merrill telling me that she could never love a man the way she loves me. Positive reinforcement, woohoo!

I doubt there's a mob coming after you. Yours is a perfectly fine stance to take. Similarly, I wish that Leliana had been a straigh-up lesbian. But I like the everyone is bi option the best, because even if I'm thinking to myself "I can't believe she likes men too :crying:" (which I never did, because I assumed that it was dealt with as in my earlier post), that means that someone playing a male character doesn't have to miss out.

You got my point. I realize it might be too much work on Bioware's part, but the best way would be to have two straight, two bi and two gay options, one for each gender. That way, (almost) everybody will be happy, or at least satisfied.

We assume that's the case from DAO.

But there's been NOTHING confirmed by Bioware.

WHY do people say this like it's canon???

It even says this on the DA wikia, and it frustrates the hell out of me.
