Though really I just want to know who the bi options are. I know Izzy is a f/f.

No no no no no we don't.

We assume that's the case from DAO.

But there's been NOTHING confirmed by Bioware.

WHY do people say this like it's canon???

It even says this on the DA wikia, and it frustrates the hell out of me.

It's because they're all bi.

Well Isabella IS bi, I think it's pretty obvious she'll stay that way even in DA2, why does it bother you so much?

No way will either team/side/position ever be satisfied.  We all want MOAR!

Maelora just lives under a bridge, if you catch my drift.  I thought before she was just a Debbie Downer type but discrete observation in various threads have revealed the truth.

For some reason (far be it for me to try and guess), Maelora feeds off of despair and negativity. She'd feel way better if she baked some gay cookies with me. Ooooh, then we can have a bake sale! And then, all the proceeds go into the pocket of whoever was right (me)!

Because she's the bi option.

Don't get your panties in a twist.

To be fair, the lady is right. We can't assume that because she was open to one night of f/f passion doesn't indicate she identifies as bisexual. It's possible she was just bi-curious or, while being open to smexing a girl every now and then, just isn't interested in them. Remember, Jack from ME2 definitely references having tried out some girl-girl action, but just won't mance my femshep.

EDIT: I'm really not trying to be controversial or a downer or anything. I just think it's completely possible Isabella would be like "yeah that was fun but uh, not looking for a whole lot of repeating." After all, when I had a threesome with her and Alistair, she asked to borrow HIM and narry a word about seeing ME again! Tear...

Okay, well, that thing she says about the ship being the best teacher? That's a euphamism, and trust me, no penises are involved. So, I think it's safe to assume that she's always open to nights of f/f passion :P

Yes because clearly an absuive relationship is comparable to Isabela's situation!

But then Izzy propositioned FemHawke in the demo that Laidlaw just did last Friday. So whether they officially confirmed it or not, it's kind of out there.

Did I miss something? To be fair, I haven't beaten ME2 so I don't know Jack's full story... I just got a really brief line from her like "yeah I tried women but no thanks" early on in the game....

Bioware has sacrificed the rp, and uniqueness of the characters, to satisfy the voracious desires of a community somehow. :crying:

Leliana was unique, Zevran too. Isabella was also supposed to be, and now I learn that it will no longer be, as all will be bi. So, we can no longer think it is open-minded, is not it ?

Leliana in the game, one is forced to solve it and likes girls and boys. Because that's her story, her personality.

But when all the romances are bi, it makes me think of artificial machines that meet any demand.

Bioware chose the easiest solution, headed the shortest, probably not the best. But at least there will be no arguments over why I have no right to it.

When you say that the romances will be optional what does that mean ? It means that my character will never dredged by the characters, male or female, and I have to unlock an option ?

Are we may deepen a friendship, without providing this option we would not want for example ?

Ok fair enough and apologies if you didn't know/weren't aware, I can be too touchy about such things occasionally.  But that relationship, if you can even call it that, (with a man AND a women, it was polyamorus) was abusive. The used her and dumped her when the situation suited them.

Woah, my bad! Never got anywhere near there in her story yet. Not really the same thing at all, haha. And here I thought she was just being fickle to reject my femshep...

All of the party members being bi is just speculation at this point.

We won't meet neither Fenris nor Anders in the demo right?

edit: Hmm, Chris says we will be able to switch between party members in the second part of the demo where we get a glimpse of the later mission, but not all companions will be available. Maybe we might get a hint who's the male bi option?

Gross. Merrill looks like she's too young to be romanced. Seriously, she looks like she's fifteen and Hawke's like thirty. Paedophillic much?

Okay wait am I looking at the wrong picture here or is there like a young and older version of her? I am confused

Uh, don't romance her? Merill is not underage; she looks like she looks because that's the new artistic direction for elves. And are you saying romancing people who look younger than they are is gross and paedophiliac?..

@ishmaeltheforsaken Hey, sorry for questioning you but I haven't read the whole statements yet. Why do you think every character is romancable for both genders? It seems very unkiley to me, because Bioware's about to continue the way they chose in Dragon Age origins. (4 Characters are romancable, two of them male, two female). Last time, women could get into a relationship with the innocent Leliana. Now it's the complete opposite with Isabela. Just the male ones will get a new elve again I think. Maybe it's easier for Bioware to make elves bi without making people angry. But that's just speculation. We don't know anything, do we? As for me, I would be very glad so see everyone as a bisexual. I always missed that part in DA:O.

For it to be pedophilia-like Merrill would have to look pre-pubescent. If she looks fifteen to you then it'd be jailbait-like though Merrill is not actually jailbait =]

Everyone is bi. Even Merrill. Especially Merrill. We know because of our learnings.
