What, you were expecting multimillion dollar sets and special effects from a web series? That's a little unrealistic, don't you think?

No. I was expecting some actual dialogue. Maybe an opening scene. The fact that I sat through an entire show I don't ever watch, just to see a 15 second clip of nothing but fighting and running, c'mon!

Well, since they just finnished filming I don't think the sound is done yet and I don't think they want us to hear the sound of the raw footage.;)

It wouldn't have been raw footage. For instance, I have a friend whose father works in the movie industry and most movies are done months in advance, but they don't release them until specific times of the year for better sales.

They could have showed one clip, I'm sure those several mini fighting scenes were from various episodes. Unless these webisodes are going to be at least 15 minutes or more, but being from one episode only is still doubtful.

*facepalm* You wanted them to fly everyone to England to film, is that it?

No offence but England doesn't look like England anymore. Even British programmes set in Olde Worlde Britain are filmed in other countries, Romania being a popular choice. But I guess that probably wasn't what you were getting at, so I apologise.

As for it being a fan flick, yeah it does look like one. Is that a bad thing? You don't have to pay for it, so what's wrong with that? Or have I missed something?

AWWW!  Felicia Day is so cute....;)

I love that she is this genuine gamer girl.  She looked so nervous and geeky on Jimmy Fallon, so sexy...

As for Redemption, I choose to make my opinion when more clips hit and when it finally come out.  No way to really say if it will suck or not.   It is not like they have really put out a metric ton of info yet.

Felicia Day's *Live* Web Series? Live??? Live as in she was running around in the jungle as the video was being simultaneously uploaded?

Live Action, I think, is the meaning.

Am I the only one who was impressed by the action reel? She really went for all her own stunts, the training paid off.

Also: how cute would Felicia Day and Jimmy Fallon be as some kind of ultra-geeky couple?

I thought it looked cool.  Not enough for me to say it is going to be awesome but totally not enough to proclaim that it is going to suck either.

And I think Felicia Day would look better with me in an ultra-geeky couple....  :P

(One can dream!)  Lol....

Well, BioWare will certainly get some good marketing out of the fact Felicia Day is in it, since she has such a rabid fan base amongst gamers (for reasons I do not understand, but I feel like it's for the same reason people love Tali so much).

Still think it'll be cheesy, just hopefully not bad-cheesy but funny-cheesy.

That trailer actually looked decent! Kind of... Buffy-esque! And Felicia Day always makes me laugh with how big a geek she is, especially when she's in Jimmy Fallon's show.

A cute, pretty girl that's into video games. Gee, I wonder why she's popular with gamers.

I just don't get why the gamer girl thing still draws such rabid fans. It's not like they're rare anymore, but some still treat it as if it's some holy grail. It certainly reinforces some of the stereotypes of gamers.

Then again, I've never understood rabid fandom of any celebrity. Sure, having favorites make sense, but some people cross over to being obsessed.

In any case, BioWare was wise to tap into it from a marketing standpoint.

It felt like a kick to the side when she summed up dragon age with, "It's like lord of the rings."

Because there's a difference between a casual girl gamer who might play say, the Wii and a girl who will know what the hell you're talking about when you start talking about say, Zelda and can actually have an intellectual discussion based on said games, etc.
