Yes, what on earth could they have been thinking, they should have brought in an elven actress to play an elf.

This is just another instence of elves been treated as second class citizens in our society and I for one refuse to stand for it. I haven't been this enraged since I found out chewbacca wasn't played by a realy wooki.

It could be good, it could flop.  However, I will still watch it because of Felicia.

Maybe she will be an Elven Assassin Broadway Star!  So she can show off her wonderful voice.  ^_^

Never heard of Felecia Day and something tells me I'll wish I never heard of this whole project.

She's and actress, writer, comedian and one of the world's most famus gamer. But unless you are a fan of Joss Whedon (like Buffy) or have seen the gamer-comedy webseries "The Guild" on XBox Live (or the web or on DVD) then you probobly would not know her.

So she does things like spoofs?

I found the guild really funny, as long as they don't try to be serious about it i think this could be good too.

My music major senses are tingling at "Tallis."

Doubtful there is a connection. Which leads me to ask–do people Google their "randomly generated fantasy names that sound cool" anymore? Just to make sure?

Oh, for the love of...

Why make two posts on an internet forum about not knowing who someone is and (one would assume you want to know since you asked) wait for a response when googling someone is far quicker?

Nevermind, rhetorical question. B)

Here -

She was one of the Slayers-in-training in season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vi.

Image IPB

Called many things, the show was not intended as a parody. Individual opinions may vary.

She played Penny, romantic interest of Neil Patrick Harris's Dr. Horrible, in Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

Image IPB

While a comedy about super-heroes and stuff, I don't think "parody" is the right word. When I think of parody I think of mocking to laugh at the expense of what is being parodied, not just humorous takes on things.

Again, opinions may vary.

She is most successful as the writer and creator of the web series The Guild.

Image IPB

Of which she even writes a comic for Dark Horse about it.

Image IPB

One mini-series, and currently going through a series of one-shots.

The Guild is a humorous look at the dysfunctional lives of people who all play on an MMO called The Game (I'm pretty sure it's never been given any other name).  It's humorous, and most of the characters are exaggerated stereotypes on one level, but it's more of a love-letter to gamers and gaming than a parody of anything.

Of course, again, your definition of parody may be looser than mine. ;)

She had been in many other things, including tv episodes of Dollhouse and Eureka.

Here's her IMDB page - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1260407/

If you want to actually learn more about her or anything she's been in, you can look there or find her webpage or her twitter or Guild sites on YouTube, XBOX Live, or their website...

...

Ok, hopefully that's enough for anyone who's still on the internet with access to search engines and databases saying "who?"  :P

Well, they actually COULD have pulled off the DA2 female elf look with a human actor. It would have to be an 11 year old boy, but he would look the part.

At a games conference, I once heard an audience member ask Felicia Day if the carpet matches the drapes. She said that she didn't know what that meant.

"Shelterrrrred," he said in a high pitch.

Edit: Also, I'll stick to Gaider & Co.'s stories.

I think they meant the web series, not DA in general. And I think "breathes fire" is a reference to the whole Fiery Redhead thing.

Look up. Read the page that you're actually on. Someone already answered your question. Or you could google her name. Or put it into Wikepedia. Or you could read the articles.

Let me enumerate the strikes against her, in my personal, oh-so-humble opinion:

1) The Guild really wasn't that great, and she's not that great a writer.
2) Big fans don't necessarily make great writers.
3) "I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world." Oh, you mean like the DA team has already done to their world? Glad to see you know it so well.
4) Okay, I get that fanservice will be a major aspect in getting people to see this, but I'd have a higher opinion on the writing and quality if it weren't.

I think it may be more of a "dragon" thing. Cuz it's Dragon Age.

Yes, because we all know that TV's going to be around forever! There's no way it could ever be taken down by the internet. Just like there was no way TV could take down Radio. And they'll never stop printing newspapers.

I would guess she liked Sten the best.  What is this based off of?  Nothing, besides my own perception of her.
