And live-action darkspawn can't really be any worse than the S&M darkspawn of DA2.
Okay, maybe, but in that case only in the "that's so bad it's awesome" kind of way.

Yay another exploitation of the ever so rare "girl gamer", please no more I'm tired of seeing this popping up
in popculture more often. Sorry if I sound like I'm ranting and I don't hate all girl gamers just the ones who think there unique and cool because of it
Yeah, how dare we have some form of representation, right? Given how many people still say "lolz, girlz don't game" or "The vast majority of gamers are dudes".
And saying she's being exploited is really undercutting her talent, imo. I also don't think Felicia thinks she's "cool" because she's a girl gamer.

Thats another thing. She is going to represent us as a community. if she does terrible. we all look terrible as fans. just sayin. worst of all, bioware looks bad.

Given the stupid costume you're already looking like a bunch of jokes, and that's putting it very, very nicely.HTTP 404 wrote...

"Insipid clown" is something you "girl gamers" probably don't want to be associated with.

First of all, I think The Guild proves that Felicia is perfectly capable of handling a web series.Panderfringe wrote...

Secondly, even if it is horrible, how does that reflect on female gamers? One female gamer participates in an assumedly lousy web series and that makes us look bad? lolwut

I don't think David Gaider likes this. Someone is raping his baby. Figuratively.

BIAS.
I do hope this is good...but again, darkspawn on a low special effect/costuming budget. What I'm picturing isn't pretty.
And live-action darkspawn can't really be any worse than the S&M darkspawn of DA2.
I think your avatar is a testament to the depths of depravity that can be reached with a good series in the wrong hands.

In Dragon Age: Redemption, Day stars as Tallis, an Elven assassin hired
by the Qunari to capture a rogue mage intent on wreaking havoc
throughout the world. In her quest to find this dangerous mage, Tallis
is joined by other companions who are not always aligned in their
beliefs and goals, but who band together to defeat their foe, in an
attempt to restore peace and balance to this dark fantasy universe.

Never in a million years would I consider Felicia Day's to be the wrong hands for an RPG web series.

Are you joking? If it were the MOST egregious pandering, they'd have gotten Megan Fox. It is pandering, for sure, but not nearly on the scale you're saying it is.Panderfringe wrote...
But I honestly dare anyone to tell me, seriously, that this won't be the most egregious pandering to the teenaged boy mindset Dragon Age is primarily marketed to.

Which proves exactly WHAT about this particular abortion? Does one venture of hers somehow automatically equate to quality in another?
I would say that one successful venture of hers establishes credibility that she can succeed. Calling it an "abortion", especially when all you have is one or two still pictures and a paragraph blurb is just... stupid, to put it blunty.
If it's horrible it reflects on "gamers" as a whole. Being associated with that would make you look bad.
Also latching unto this like it isn't some incredible edifice of misogyny and chauvanism makes you look like you're just kneeling down and taking it when you really should be demanding better of people who should know better.
Hey, I'd love to be proved wrong. I really would. If this is good I'll be a happy boy. But I honestly dare anyone to tell me, seriously, that this won't be the most egregious pandering to the teenaged boy mindset Dragon Age is primarily marketed to.
I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say here. Misogyny? Chauvinism?
Demanding better people? What are you talking about?

I agree. And I also got the impression that she doesn't se herself as cool at all. Thats one of the things I like about her. She's just a normal girl that also is a gamer and just doesn't sitt around dreaming about what she would like to do, she does it.Mystranna Kelteel wrote...
