The costume looks good. That's usually one of the more common failings in lower budget fantasy. I wonder if they'll have any setting other than wilderness, though.

I forgot where I read it, but weapons are actually one of the hardest things to make believable. Especially blades of any kind.

I dunno. She's great playing like, weak helpless and flustered, but she hasn't really done anything that shows she can play "kick ass" very well (even her character on buffy was all about nervously kinda stabbing people)

She kicked sufficient ass in the that movie about the werewolves.

Huh.. could be good? Frankly, I only watched one episode of The Guild.. and that was like, 6 years ago. I have no idea how good she is.

I'm cautious of Dragon Age when being done by someone not Bioware, as I absolutely hated the comic book. But she's popular with gamers, and there must be a reason for it.

 

Are you talking about the IDW comic or is there another one because i thought that series was really good at telling a story with all the rules and tendencies of Thedas we've encountered... could just be me though:wub:

unless they just forge real weapons like they do in some higher production movies and shows. 

I might want to add that Day is weilding DAGGERs not the short sword version of daggers in Da:O

This is weirdly bitter.... And pretty sure that Felicia Day would be the last person to describe herself as unique of cool because of her interest in games. She is unique and cool in that she doesn't just sit around waiting for her agent to find her parts, but writes, directs and acts in things that she's created. And she's found a way to make a living that involves all her interests, including gaming, which it remarkable.

And giving actors real weapons tends to end badly.

Felicia's story is an inspiring example for anyone that's been in a slump. The entertainment industry is especially HARSH. If you don't have the right look, you may be eating out of a peanut butter container with a spoon and staring at your phone. I skimmed the industry myself as a would be actor, and gave up. There's no way my sanity and pride would stand for all the crap you have to take to make a living. 

So she has my respect completely for standing up and actually doing something instead of whining how it's everyone's else fault she doesn't get jobs, like many people love doing. I understand The Guild isn't to everyone's tastes, however considering it inspired Dr Horrible and has many fans it will go down in internet history as a milestone. Picking her for something like this only makes sense.
