I simply don't understand the appeal of this woman. I'm not incredibly shallow, and I love a geeky girl, but Day's face just makes me cringe. Like, on a Sarah Jessica Parker level.
She should be heard and not seen, as in Fallout: New Vegas' Veronica.
EDIT: I think she's has the potential to make this something good (regardless of the being seen heard whatever thing) but I don't have high hopes

Why are people assuming there's going to be Live-Action Darkspawn in this? The article only mentions Darkspawn in describing DA:O and the Darkspawn aren't even mentioned on the official page.In Dragon Age: Redemption, Day stars as Tallis, an Elven assassin hired
by the Qunari to capture a rogue mage intent on wreaking havoc
throughout the world. In her quest to find this dangerous mage, Tallis
is joined by other companions who are not always aligned in their
beliefs and goals, but who band together to defeat their foe, in an
attempt to restore peace and balance to this dark fantasy universe.
Please tell me there will not be live-action Qunari.

I don't know why so many people think it will be bad.
They're judging it like they would a video game, which would be "How close to Avatar does it look?"
Or perhaps, how true to the Source material?
Felicia Day is pleasant and all, and I'm sure she's going to put a mighty effort into this which I have the utmost respect for, and wish I could do myself.
But good intentions and hard work don't mean it will work - ESPECIALLY on a web series budget. Like, are they gonna have Qunari? Dwarves? Darkspawn? Think about how much money it would cost, to put on a quality (And by quality, I'm thinking LOTR. Take your fantasy pick.) for 10-20 minutes. This can't have a high budget, because there likely won't be a huge return on it. If this was meant to be huge, they wouldn't have announced this less than a month from DA2.

Even if it's corny as heck, I'll still watch it. I mean there are worse things that people could do to Dragon Age...really.

Really?
You're judging people enjoying a writer/creator/actress solely on looks?
Really?
*shakes head*
Besides, beauty's in the eye of the beholder. I think she's attractive. I think Isabela is worse than homely. Tastes vary.

If your posts can be boiled down to 'I think Felicia Day is attractive/unattractive', then this is not the place for them.

Whether or not a live-action Dragon Age web series is going to be good or not has devolved into "I don't find the writer attractive."

And now even you have given your opinion on her appearance. Why not simply end your post after "*shakes head*"?

At a games conference, I once heard an audience member ask Felicia Day if the carpet matches the drapes. She said that she didn't know what that meant.
"Shelterrrrred," he said in a high pitch.
Edit: Also, I'll stick to Gaider & Co.'s stories.
This is why I can't stand most nerds - I don't know why they take such pride in being perverts. What's wrong with that guy?

Now if they could do something as the cinematography of the Assassin's Creed movie, that'd be cool. There may be some problems with the customs of darkspawn/qunari with a web series budget but I think they can pull it off. I trust Bioware even though I'm not familiar with this girl's work~

Awesome! Now where's my Neil Patrick Harris snarky Mage character and my Nathan Fillion 'I am to misbehave' type character? Please?
That would make the show perfect alas I feel like this series isnt even going to be as good as a Sci-fi original movie

Or people could judge it based on what it is--a web series, not a major motion picture. You know, a bit of fun with a charming and talented actor. This is no more crazy or likely to fail than the anime and a LOT more to my personal taste.MColes wrote...

In all honesty, I've never seen the Guild, but I've heard good things. No reason to expect this to be any different.
