If one is blessed with the great gift of magic, he has to use it to help people, sure. But throwing him in a jail, just because he was born that way, is a crime.

One has to weigh the risks of letting all mages go about their business unchecked and only intervene after disaster strikes, and the moral implications of keeping a minute percentage of the population behind bars for the good of the vast majority who don't want to walk around in fear

I'm starting to believe that this has much to do with why I despise elves, and Fenris in particular

Well it actuall was the Humans fault.. And it doesnt help that Humans segregate them, and treat them like trash. The Elves pretty much have earned the right to blame everything on humans.

Uh, dude, you realize that the humans on thedas still benefit from those actions, and the elves still suffer for it, right? Every human in thedas is walking on elven land, and their chantry makes it impossible for dalish to settle down (for one thing because they'd probably start going after their keepers more), and the elves that live in cities are still oppressed.

I think one way to treat mages are to "kill them all". If successful it would be the safest way, right?



I'm surprised the templars hasn't pushed more for this!



What you would loose is access to modern medicine and a powerful force in your army so it only works if all other countries do so as well. Otherwise you will quickly be overtaken by your neighbour while you and your army slowly bleeds to death. ;-)

Not knowing how something happened doesn't mean we should accept whatever theories someone spouts out.

Not to mention, what do the darkspawn have to do with..anything? That has nothing to do with the fact that the dalish and other hedge mage places aren't threatened by their mages, despite not having circles.

Come up? So you admit the Chantry is making this up? The Dwarves know everything there is to know about Darkspawn. The Chantry rarely if ever has to deal with them. What makes the Chantry such experts on the subject?

Uh dude. Every American is walking on Indian land. Every American is benefiting from Indian suffering. The chantry does not make it impossible for the Elves to settle down, it is the elves own choice to wander as they do. The Elves that live in cities let themselves be oppressed.

Its the same damn story in almost every country on this earth. Most countries today live on the land they do because they conquered someone elses. It happens in history, it happens in religion, and yet Americans today didnt do it, it was their ancestors.

Or should I be cursed at and called names because someone from my country killed and enslaved people centuries ago? I'm not saying the elves should be all lovey dovey with humans. But they should least acknowledge that I never took their homeland from them. (Eyeroll)

America is a horrible example to use if you're trying to defend the humans considering America still treats first nation people horribly. You should be cursed at and called names because you reap the benefits from the stealing and enslavement, you're still higher up on the rung in socioty than elves, no matter what they do.

Let themselves get oppressed? What do you think they should do, go around murdering all the humans? Isn't that exactly what you're freaking complaining about?

If another race invaded your country, killed your people, took over your lands, and raped your women. You wouldnt atleast dislike the people of that other race? No matter if they were involved or not? I find that hard to believe.
