Hmm I think I would have liked that one better with a more subtle illustration, myself. I did like the Carver one though.

Maybe, but I'd like to think Merrill saw this one in new releases and promptly fainted.

That's going a bit over the line. I think Merrill would have an idea of what sex is. But Varric would have the exaggeration abilities to make it more.... attune to causing isolated elf girls to faint.

[Rereads and wonders if that made sense]

They keep it behind the counter, she had to ask the cashier for it by name and show her ID.

With that mental image I am not absolutely in love with clumsy awkward inexperienced Merrill.
I was hoping for hippie nudist but this is good too.

Nice cover Gilsa :D

I've been waiting forever to make those puns!

Kinda struck me the way your drawing style feels matching with the DA2 itself. There's a "hot rod Varric" joke lurking around the corners. Posted Image

Publisher:  Hey Varric.  Your last romance novella sold really well.
Varric:  Of course it did.  But I'm here for buisness.
Publisher:  All ready?  You just finished your last book yesterday.
Varric:  I know.  I'm just that talented.  So I got this idea.  It'll be my best one yet.
Publisher:  What is it called?
Varric:  I don't know yet.
Publisher:  ... Um?
Varric: It'll sell.
Publisher:  *sigh* When can I have it?

Heh, Varric isn't the author though. The mysterious writer uses Varric because he is a prime specimen of masculinity (and could have chemistry with a rock), and thus his image brings in the big bucks.

I thought it was Varric writing down his autobiography, with all of his sexual exploits. :o

Varric is much too classy for self-insert fanfic! He has many fans, though.

Indeed he does.  And more flood in every day.  I'm thoroughly surprised Hawke gets anything done with him around.  All those mobs of smitten men and women, her own clawing desires...

I've settled on the opinion that they should have gone half way and made Varric DA2's Kelly Chambers. You could flirt (and more) but it would be mostly no strings attached and whatnot.

Not what we would have truly wanted, but surely feasible; even with content limitations.

...Okay so all this Stone Heartbreaker talk has just further renewed my desire to see something resembling the Silken Surrender scene Madsabroo wrote fo reals. Grr.

Should that be the case they would be guilty of class A emotion toying.

I would also predict an abundance of posters on these boards bemoaning how they accidentally romanced the stone. So to speak.

@Chud2 I think it's definitely much more detailed than in DAO... Like example, Fenris has STUBBLE.

Round 1: Elf Stubble vs Dwarf Chest Hair

Dwarf Chest Hair uses Old Spice scent.

It's SUPER EFFECTIVE!

Dwarf Chest Hair wins.
