After so much time hearing about Varric being a romance for female Hawke, I started wanting it myself despite a previous lack of intention of playing female Hawke.

When I saw that Varric was not on the list of romanceable companions I actually went "Damn it!"

I'm not exactly a fan of Flemeth's...so why is this my favorite? Maybe since, much as I enjoy his smirks, there's some semi-sadistic pleasure in seeing him "suffer" a bit. Gives me chills! XD

Since I'm being a forum wet blanket today, and in a bitter mood, while we (and I am speaking for others too here, they know who they are) appreciate others contributing to the meme, the point of the romance novel covers is to celebrate Varric's tremendous man-itude in cheeky and cheesy and corny ways. Contributors need to ask themselves if they could reasonably see the book uncovered on a major chain bookstore shelf. If not, the point of the joke is missed, and it becomes gratuitous and OOC smut with puns.

When in doubt, google 'romance novel covers.' Big embossed text, romantic flowy attire, awkward and unnatural poses for the benefit of the viewer, exaggerated masculinity and femininity... but nothing really more than PG-13 at best.

Sorry for the timing, cynicalmuse, I know this probably sounds entirely directed at you.
