Wait... in the demo... did Varric put an arrow in that guys chest just for pick pocketing? Not much context, but you see a single guy running away from an oblivious hawke... then Varric comes outta no where and POP, grin, lols.

I thought he just pinned him to the wall. I agree though, if he injured or even killed him, it would be horrible.

No, he pins him to the wall by like the armpit part of his shirt (it was sort baggy). I thought so too at first but saw it clearer on the F!Hawke playthrough.
