I recall seeing an old pic of shirtless Hawke with mild specks of chest hair. But it seems somebody waxed him. That meant ONLY Varric had the Carpet of Virility. Not that I'm complaining...

The 'vertical' line is one of my favorite (well, most are, the others I 'just' like).
I also love what he says after spotting a trap:
"Now that's just rude. What are they trying to do, ruin my boots?"

Or in the Bone Pit:
"When I tell the tale of slaying these dragons, I'll make them three times taller."
or "This place gives me the creeps. It's probably the name. They should call it "the pie fields". Everyone likes pie."


Edit: And are all the Varric banners on the first page available to anyone? Probably a silly question but I wouldn't want to 'steal' anything.

Bioware can't handle a romance where the NPC party isn't f***ed up in the head somehow. Since Varric is probably the most stable companion ever, they were at a loss on how to do it.

I guess Gaider went something like: "A healthy relationship? With a dorf? In my game? INCONCEIVABLE!"

Varric has probably turned to be the most popular character amongst both users and critics. That's something to be considered.

Oh, yes, I appreciate all the things he says when spotting a trap. I played 2 rogue Hawkes first so they always took care of traps and the like. Now I'm on to a mage. So I finally get to appreciate Varric's running commentary for traps and locked items. He has one particularly hilarious line if you want him to open a door or chest and he's not skilled enough to unlock it yet. 

It goes something like "You want me to do what? I could never do such a thing."

Does anyone know the exact quote?
