That's what really scares me with both the calls for Cullen and Varric.  I remember the 'Give us Anders' threads, and they did...in a deliciously evil and broken way.   I don't want to know what they'd do to Varric or Cullen, I think my brain would break.

I *may* have given him the shard in my last playthrough, in the name of science. Even though my male mage was all 'This isn't really a good idea.' about it and privately decided to keep an eye on Varric just in case. My female rogue in the first playthrough was 'What? NO! I like you sane, thank you.' My current guy...we'll have to see, he'll probably wonder if he can sell it first.

You liked Justice too? I would have totally wanted to romance him in DA:A - IF he wasn't a decaying corpse. Ah, well..


I also wonder whether some of the in-game jokes about Varric's novels were just a coincidence. But love them nonetheless. Maybe they could mention the Stone Heartbreaker in the next game if he switches to romance

Edit: All dialouge should be switched to Varric saying Tethras too.

It actually made me giggle. It doesn't look like he has grown a beard, so much as him wearing a fake one, with that slightly puzzled look in his eyes. He's totally saying, "So why did you make me do this again? This thing is freaking itchy."
