Seriously though? No, I wasn't skeptical at all.

I only really take issue with the art direction of the darkspawn everything else is looking good.
I am still worried how the warden origins will be handled becuse my wardens adventure is now intertwined with morrigans but I will reserve judgement until launch. Yes, I know Morrigan wont be in DA2 as confirmed by Devs

I wasn't. I've only played in the DA universe and I love it here. Don't make me leave!
I didn't really like having no voice in Origins, I like having as many as of my senses involved while I game. I like the new art direction too, which most people were iffy on, I think it's a little bit more.. cartoony, but the racial differences are evident now. Seeing as all my elves looked like realy skinny humans..
I just want that game NAO.

I was very skeptical. I still am, but less than I was at the time of the first announcement of DA2. I still don't like the lack of race choice, or the lack of a different prologue (aka origin story), but I don't mind the combat, or the new skill trees.

I was and still am. I can't imagine this game toppling Origins, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Generally no. There were a few changes that I was not sure I liked, but I generally tried to suspend judgment until we got enough information, and when the information came in, most of the changes seemed intelligent. Generally, it looks like an improved version of the first game, though there are a few changes I am not sure about.

At first no, I was not skeptical...Now however I am becoming more pessimistic about the game.
Happens every time a game is hyped up by the fans, I always believe that the hype is unjustified.
Waiting for the demo to come out before I judge the game...wish ME2 had the demo out before launch.

When the first screenshots were launched.. I was a bit taken back by the drastic change of the darskpawn. Although a few months later I'm quite confident that I'll thoroughly enjoy the game.

My reaction has gone thusly:
HOLY CRAP THAT WAS FAST
WOOHOO!!!!!
Wow, all the feature changes they've made were things I was suggesting before Origins even came out. Weird.
Looks kinda cool.
Ooo, preorder bonus. Imma take that.
Waiting

Many dudes were raging over the first few information.
I didn't. I believed that DA2 is going to be awesome and I haven't changed my opinion.

It always pays off to be a little skeptical at first. If the game is great, you will be all the more surprised and impressed. If the game is, somehow, a letdown compared to the first, you can at least spare yourself the disappointment.
Well, that would be for companies i dont really have faith in. I have yet to see a sucky or even slightly bad Bioware game. *prays that day never comes*

No, had some reservations about game length, and if they had improved the console version, but i loved what i heard, i see the same people having the exactly the same issues next time... Good times..

Pretty much me. I pre-ordered yesterday when all romances were revealed. Not that I was waiting for that, but it was after I joined the forums that I got super hyped up for the game. Every little info that came out made me really excited about DA2. Now I can't wait to play it~!!!!

I never put much stock in cinematic trailers either way. They rarely reflect the actual game itself.

Not particularly. Was mildly surprised at the voiced PC and a few other changes. None of them particularly bothered me (aside from the darkspawn, and I've already gotten used to their new look), but simply made me curious to see how they play out.

We're = We are. You mean 'were.'
And, no. That is, I am as skeptical now as I was then.

Nah They'ld make a good game, and if not I'ld turn around sell it the next day for trade in value so I get at least half of my money back. But I didn't think they would dissapoint. Though I will admit I hope the combat doesn't end up too fast paced or like juggle based. I suck at the newest MK games for a reasson.

I was skeptical just at the title announcement.
Dragon Age 2
..What? Dragon Age 2? That's the most out of place title for a follow up game I've ever seen. The last game was called Dragon Age: Origins. It was a title with a subtitle. For the sequel, I was expecting something more along the lines of "Dragon Age: Dynasty" or something to reflect Hawke's story. Unfortunately all we get is a number, which just feels out of place. Imagine if Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl's sequel was simply called "Pirates 2".
And when they said it was going to focus on a human character named Hawke instead of a character you could name fully, that's when I was most skeptical. It felt like the game was being dumbed down and scaled back to the dreaded path of "Mass Appeal". You know? Less unique, more familiarity. Instead of being able to play a dwarf or an elf, you're stuck with the bona fide "Human" which bugs the heck out of me because that feels like they're saying that humans are the most important race and every thing else is secondary. I never got that feeling with Origins.

When I first saw the Dragon Age II Rise to Power trailer it made me think:
"Man, this will probally be a let down" Then 2 months later I come back to this and I'm more excited then ever. Has anybody else had a simular thought when they saw the Rise To Power trailer?
It's a Bioware game, so I was never that sceptical, specially not since the things that are really important to me, aren't zoom out camera perspectives, but story, characters and a believable world.

I was so angry when this game was announced I could spit nails. To be fair, the marketting was pretty dodgy. But I was wrong, hopefully, and now I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself for the next three weeks.

I didn't have an opinion one way or the other. I'm waiting for the demo before I make any final decision.
