I was terriffied it was gonna suck ass.....
I honestly hated ME2 (personal opinion, no need to get off topic bashing me on this), and was afraid Dragon Age 2 was gonna be the same, but the more I found out about it the more I started to like and get excited about it.....
We're you skeptical at first?

I can honestly say no, I was not skeptical. I was surprised that it was announced so fast. At first I didn't like the whole not having the different origins, but I eventually got what they were trying to do with the story so I got over it. Once I saw actual gameplay footage I was sold.
It's Bioware, I hardly ever am skeptical about their work. If anything, I am just curious as to what they have done to make it better than DA:O, besides the stuff they have already told us about.

I think ive got less excited. Still excited and think it looks good, but something about it has made me look forward to it a little less. Hope to be proved massively wrong

No, Bioware has yet to disappoint me. I wasn't going to jump to conclusions over nothing, I'd only get skeptical if they released actual information I didn't like.

I still am.
The remaining issues of DA:O, Awakening and the history of DLC bugs made an interesting precedent.

I pre-ordered DA2 on the back of origins. I'm more into classic RPG's and found origins to be just the ticket. I then unfortunately saw a dodgy demo of it on you tube and it looked like some 70's B-movie and only the pc version was displayed officially by bioware until last week when they showed the 360 version.
After reading some reviews I wasn't really taken on the "action" thing, but now I've seen it and see pause and play can still be implemented and seen how it looks, I'm a lot more confident and very much looking forward to the demo and the actual game itself.
I can't also wait to build my own pc and play both on that, but I'll just have to I guess.

Only when I heard that hawke was to be voiced... Understand at this point that I was a boy who liked the idea of escaping reality and saving the world, actually being the hero. Because everyone at school was a chavvy ****, but I digress. I was convinced that it would make it seem like 'I' was no longer saving the world, that I was now just making someone else do it.
But then I realized that it was not that big of deal, that the mass effect thing was good and I liked it. (And I realized that reading out the lines your going to make your character say does not mean your the one speaking... yeah i have no life)
I've been perfectly content with everything they've told me so far now. Keep being awesome Bioware, and never submit to the ignorant fools out there.

I was never skeptical.
I have been called a Bioware apologist a few times on the ME forums. I find this hilarious since nothing in their entire game catalogue requires and apology.

To be perfectly honest, I was not, at any point, worried about the state of Dragon Age 2. I have complete trust in Bioware and hold them in the utmost regard.

This was how I felt.I was disappointed in not being able to play as my Warden but I like the idea for the character of Hawke.I'll be disappointed with the third as it might have a brand new protagonist...Hawke could be a great character.DrunkenMonkey wrote...

Nope not skeptical Like books by my favorite authors, games by Bioware go on my automatic buy list... unless they bring out car games... I'm pretty much excited straight away.

I'm still skeptical.
Every single change they made was for the worse. For me, this is gonna suck. If your mileage differs, then all the more power to you. I hated ME2 also.
However... if same gender romance is in, I'll play it anyway.

I'm afraid I'm still sceptical over a number of things (fixed hero, will I really be able make Hawke mine, or while Hawke be like Shepard, BioWare's character that I just direct, lack of race choice, the dreaded wheel etc). But BioWare is probably right for most people in the direction they are going, and there's little point complaining, I'll always thank them for Origins. As it is, I'm waiting on the demo, I'm hoping my fears will be point to rest, and if it is, then I'll pre-order DA2

I was worried that I wasn't going to like it after hearing that our character and companions from the first game wouldn't be in this one. But as the months have passed I keep getting even more stoked! I'm uber excited! Having Anders in there (Familiar face) has certainly eased my way to liking the game more and more. I always had the game preordered wether I thought I was going to like it or not. Loyal to Bioware I stay!

I've been saying pretty much since the beginning that Dragon Age 2 wouldn't be much fundamentally different from Origins. And, now that's mostly been proven correct, I am enjoying that I didn't freak out at every little thing that was announced like some people.

I still am. The video chat put my fears about gameplay to rest, but I doubt I´ll like the visuals much. Waiting for the demo to get a feel. I´d also like to know what the game is about before buying it. Raise to power is what most games are about after all.

I have been skeptical bout DA2 - fearing it would be another mute protagonist, fearing the combat would be as *yawn* as DA:O, expecting it would simply be a second installment of a good game, but more of the same.
My interest only came *after* I saw all the changes and saw that they took a couple of great hints from the ME team and implemented them in their own way. Only now that I'm seeing the changes in gameplay I'm really really looking forward to it. In my view, BioWare did the exact right thing to lift this title up to true epicness.
