You cry about a religion that for most part is nothing like you say it is, they don't care if you have same sex loving, they are all about trying protect people as best as they can, they are not perfect, but nothing is.
Our job is to make sure the regular folk don't suffer from some out of control person with the power to shoot fire from their face & sunder a person's mind, all the while inviting demons to run amok. We are the bad guys? -chuckles-
As I said, both sides have our bad apples, but if you want to start a war with us, so be it! We stand to safeguard our brethren from out of control types like yourselves. To make sure families don't suffer the blood magic & abominations you kind bring about!

For pete's sake we heard rumors they had death squads running around trying to kill the very group that saved us from the blight.
Your going use that as your defense? Bunch of over zealous close minded dwarfs? See we have understanding with them, they are not to keen on magic & we keep eye on the magic users so they don't go bat**** crazy. It's a mutual benefit, again every side has it's bad apples.

Hang on! You can't all be so anti-chantry! Atheism hasn't even been created yet in the Dragon age!
It exists, proven by certain dialogue options the Grey Warden has, but perhaps it needs to spread more and weaken the Chantry's hold over the land.

Don't believe the lies, It could result in that, but it's mostly a show of force, to show we won't back down to threats & out of control behaviour. We do try & keep death as low as possible, most time we prefer to talk it over & reach some mutual agreement. But usually other side doesn't want to listen & always seems to constantly attack us, when we are standing minding our own business.

Oh, I thought it meant to impose the Andrastian faith on a nation or people by force. I didn't know it stipulated a minimum amount of culling the population of said nation.

Atheism as a philosophical and moral viewpoint exists in a society that is supposedly anchored in mediaeval Europe? I'm not talking about a simple lack of faith, of course. That has been around for as long as time

Even that is considered genocide. The systematic destruction of a people or their culture.Rompa87 wrote...

Why do people mistake medieval fantasy with medieval europe? They typically are in a technological stasis of thousands of years. It doesn't mean they fail to culturally or philosophically progress.Rompa87 wrote...

Situation at the Tower, horrible situation, perpetrated by one of your own. You ilk decrys us, stating we brought it upon ourselves. Us? really? from what Information we have gathered, your own drove this man to that point.
I believe lady named Ines, member of your order, stated Uldred was most likey brought to that point by another mage named Wynne, yes we saw her great deeds & applaud her for her effort in saving Ferelden, but let's be honest, a man can only handle so much harping from a woman, till they go crazy. Crazy plus power, well you see why we are around.
We just want to make sure all regular folk are safe, make sure you guys are safe, but no, you guys want to spill blood, burn people, & run amok.
We are the bad guys?

Well it's nice to see some civil headed mages amongst ya'll. This why we do what we do, to help educate & eleviate potential destruction amongst society, We should work on a common goal, perhaps better means to interact with each other, but I guess we still have to remain forever vigilent to those who crave the insanity that being spewed here.
