ME1 - 3 times. I'm trying to stomach my way through the combat system to finish another one for import use. Love the game, just the combat after ME2 is so hard to do xD
Me2 - Finishing #7 now - only my first playthrough was on normal. All subsequent ones have been Insanity. It's too much fun
Most are with my canon Shep but I'm working on a Fem shep and a non-canon shep too.
Bring on ME3!

Overall, I have four Shepards, split over three ME playthroughs and four ME2 playthroughs. These aren't completed ones, mind you (I just finished Horizon in my latest ME2 playthrough, for example), but they certainly aren't all I plan to do--I haven't done an Insanity playthrough for either yet, and I still have all those squad member achievements to do in ME1!
Like a lot of people, though, I have my "official" Shep (Earthborn Sole Survivor Paragade FemShep; my word, that's quite the string of titles), then my Renegade FemShep, then my Renegade ManShep (which I practically have to force myself to play... not because he's ManShep, but because I really, really don't like playing completely straight Renegade, which I'm trying to do with him), then my Paragon FemShep... etc.
...I feel kinda inferior among you fine people who've played so much!

Woo...need to think....
100% achievements for ME 1 so at least 3. But I have 3 60s, 2 50s, and 2 40s.
So ME1 ~12.
Did ME2 twice on my soldier, 1 suicide run, and 1 for every other class.
So ME2 = 8
Sick part is I'm currently working on 1 Kaiden and 1 ash LI. So going to end up with another ME1 and 2 more ME2s.
I swear I do other things.... >.>

Wow, the number of playthrough's some of you have, talk about dedication. As for my count, lets see:
ME1: 4 completed, currently on 5th as a mostly renegade femsoldier, several others started, going to redesign them. Most recent was my custom-made paragon engineer on insanity with ashley as LI, and the ashley/liara achievements. I'm rather proud of beating insanity with my engineer ( silly, i know) , and i am honestly considering making him my canon male shepard.
ME2: Also 4 completed, i always import from me1.
Not relevant to the topic, but i've gotten into the slightly odd trend of naming my new shep's after my older siblings. Strange, i know, but i like it.
EDIT: Almost forgot, only need 10 more achievements for me1 for 100%, including dlc. ME2: I have all 59 current "achieveables".

Lets see, 6 characters (one used twice as with a total makeover in ME2) in total, 4 of those are lvl 60 in ME1 so that would make it a minimum of 13-14 in ME1, but more likely 15-16.
For ME2 I'm pretty sure I'm at playthrough 10 or 11 right now, trying out a CQC Infiltrator
That's what can happen when a former shooter-fanatic suddenly drops into the wonderful world of Mass Effect

you prove how ME games are so good. no matter how many you beat the games, you are still hungry. how can you wait for ME 3 which will be out the end of this year? I know you will just new games for a while. from now we have tons of new games until May, then November.
by the way, I posted mine before. but because I got new alternative appearance pack 2. I have to play it for celebration(?).
ME 1 - only tiwce ( I know it's only that. but I just didn't it so much than ME 2)
ME 2 - 32 times (now, it will be 33 tonight or tomorrow night like I explained above)
so I guess I will play it one more time for last DLC this year. then I will be done. no more ME 2.

ME1, 4
ME2, 8
For me, ME2 hits the sweet spot between an enjoyable story and fun gameplay (ME1 had probably more of the first, but a lot less of the second). So while after eight times, some parts of the game are starting to feel a bit grindy (overlord, both ilium recruitment missions, jacob's loyalty, mostly), I still find myself planning my next playthrough every now and then.
I also now have more playthroughs of ME2 than any other game - including Deus Ex, which has been out for, what, 11 years?

When do you plan to have 2 playthroughs in ME2?
I honestly don't know. I need to finish off my Insanity run to finish off all the achievments, but I just can't get the enthusiasm to do it.
Actually, i've just remembered... I have 1 full and 2 half playthroughs. I forgot about making a bog standard speedrun ManShep in order to get the achievement for romancing Tali.
ME2 just doesn't grab me like ME1 does, I boot it up and it just feels like a total waste of potential. All the many things Bioware could have done with ME2 to improve upon ME1, and they decided to butcher everything into generic simplicity.
