ME1 = Has to be close to 20, if not more.

ME2 = 12 if memory serves.

Love both games for different reasons, hoping ME3 is a better mixture of both with a few new ideas.

Mass Effect - Lost count, played through a bunch of times.

ME2 - twice...second time only to see the "everybody dies" ending

I've got to follow through with all my play throughs, I guess I'm a little weird like that. I couldn't just play mass effect 2 without importing, doesn't feel right to me.

So,

4 for ME1

and

3 for ME2, haven't quite started my import for my 4th play yet.

ME1: 3 playthroughs for all the achievements.

ME2: 5 so far. Romanced all 3 of the MShep LIs. 2 playthroughs: Where only 2 squaddies survived. Another where the human squaddies are killed during SM.

Three for ME1 and I started my third ME2 playthrough an hour ago, but I'm planning to do two more of ME1 and a further three for ME2.

Some people here have played over 50 altogether, and maybe they do quick playthroughs (I like to go slowly - took around 60 hours to 100% the ME2 playthrough I just finished) but it's still quite a scary thought.

ME 1 =3, 5 Times

ME2 = 11 Times

Although i like the spirit and the atmosphere of ME 1 more then that of ME 2, ME 2 feels more comfortable for a walkthrough and the combats make a lot more fun.

Perhaps we should specify if these are "story line only" runs, or "find every iota of info, tech and character development" runs... because all mine are the later. I cannot play ME1 without finding every mineral on every planet, along with everything else. And I cannot play ME2 without scanning every single planet for potential side missions (I do not mine them all however for fear I might develop a split personality from the trauma).

Approximately 15 on ME and 15 on ME2. I don't keep an accurate count and since I have the boxed PC version, the Steam version, and the XBox 360 version for each game (yes, I own three copies of each game because I'm crazy and obsessed) I don't know which versions I've done more playthroughs with.

I assume I've done about 9 or 10 playthroughs on the boxed version of ME for the PC, 2 or 3 playthoughs on the Steam version of the ME, and 2 playthroughs on the XBox 360 version of ME.

I've done 4 or 5 playthoughs on the boxed version of ME2 for the PC, 6 or 7 playthroughs on the Steam version of ME2 and 2 playthroughs on the XBox version of ME2.

Oh, gawd. This thread just forced me to think about how much of a loser I am. Time to leave the computer for a while and spend time with my wife and kids.

Well, by this measurement:

ME 1 - once for story; two other times as a power run to get to level 60.

ME 2 - All playthroughs have been for everything (story, tech, items, etc)

man, I can see here very clearly. we all love mass effect games so much. that's why this is possible. we are so crazy. I don't think that most people understand why we did it so many times.
