confustion about mutiplayer (not in the official campain!)

i'm seeing a lot of posts about there being no mutiplayer in dragon age. There are people who think were talking about the main campain, but alas most of us at least are talking about our own custom campain.  peronsally i'm making a single player to figure this tooset out but i would love the option of having my friends and I take down some beasts and events i was planing on making.  i'm sure they'll make it eventually well....hopefully before febuary.

to sum it up. most of us are not talking about mutiplayer in the single player campain.  where talking about our own made modules.

It doesn't matter whether it is the official campaign or our own modules. There is no multiplayer mechanic built into the game. Unless some brilliant community member finds a way to totally change the way the game itself works there is no multiplayer, not not and not any time soon.

No offense. And you can take this as a flame or constructive criticism. It's up to you.



But you cannot even construct sentences or spell properly. You lose all credibility by posting a topic such as this and then expect us to believe that you are capable of coding anything nearly as complex as what you are hoping to do.



And then to say you will hopefully have this by February...



Sorry. You really do not have any idea what it would take to port this to multiplayer.

If the OP belongs to a group of, say...20 masochistic Russian programming geniuses, then maybe....maybe....I might take this seriously, but....somehow I don't think that's the case.



Let's see what would be required:



1) A lot of time.

2) The ability to reverse-engineer large programs, and figure out exactly how they work. A few years of experience with IDApro, Ollydebug and similar tools is an absolute requirement.

3) The ability to write a network communication module

4) A plan for how to make the gameplay work in MP mode - will you disable pausing? If not, what happens if one player pauses? What about dialogue? Will only one player be allowed to talk to NPCs?

Theres some heavy hitters in this post responding badly to someone saying they are looking to make there own modules in the hope that multiplayer will be incorporated into the engine by February.



Or did they read a different post?

yes i know. i tend to mutitask to much to a point where...well....you get posts like that.  small ones like this should be correct tho^^.

Hmm...indeed - sorry, I misread it too, as if the OP was saying the he planned to have a MP mod before February.



However, the chances of BioWare doing that are effectively zero.

ya. going to edit it now to a more...readable less jumping form. o for those thinking i'm making a mod. i'm not.  i'm making the very small with lots of playing and seeing how does this work.  and mainly the tarrne of the mp.  mabye add events and the like.
