From my further research I found that Standard Edition is both shipped and sold by Amazon.com Retail Store. However Collectors Edition is sold and shipped by our registered Third-Party Sellers or Merchants from our Marketplace.

That is the reason why you were unable to find this Release Date option for this order for Collectors Edition.

In
future before the release date of this item if we were able to obtain
this item, then we will ship this Collectors Edition with Release-Date
Delivery option.

However we will not be able to let you know when Release-Date Delivery option will be made available for this item.

As soon as this option is available you will b able to see it on our website.

In the mean time if you prefer to do any modification for this order well before the release date, you may gladly do so.

I can confirm that we still expect to ship your order by November 04. It should be delivered to you by November 05.

we were talking about getting it shipped to us on the release date... thats hardly breaking the street date... as it stands amason CE orders wont arrive until the 5th but plenty of people will be getting it on the 3rd when it releases

^ its ok:) lol yea I really don't understand tho why amazon won't ship it on the 3rd or even if they did why you all won't get it early IF they ship it early. I hope everyone gets it roughly based on the same time or atleast BEFORE the weekend, thats what im hoping for anyways.

Ok so I just chated with EA again about my invoice being down and they told me that everything is order and its being processed with UPS blue service (2days) and that generally speaking preordering gets you the game on release or the day after. And that my credit card should be credited in 24 hours to 48 hours. So Im guesing that means that either today or tomarrow they are shipping it since people normaly credit things before they ship something online.



Hope this helps ppl, just know MAYBE depending on what shipping method you put it on it should be shipping either today or tomarrow sometime is what I am guessing and we should get it either on release date or 1 day after^_^

I'm not sure if they changed it for the collector's edition, but i knoe for the regular edition there is a "release-day" shipping option with amazon. Which means you'll get the game Nov. 3rd

I just spoke by telephone with a representative from EA's online store, where I pre-ordered the collector's edition.  Now, according to that guy, the pre-order ship date has been moved up to October 28 (yes that's tomorrow).  I paid for next day delivery, so if what he says is true, I'll have the game in my hands before the weekend.

Wonder if thats just for EA or other vendors as well. I'd love to get my copy from EbGames/Gamestop with the overnight shipping a few days earlier. Hopefully that rep is in the know, and it applies to other retailers. That would just totally make my weekend.

I know a couple of people said EA told them the game would ship today. I figured the EA people just didn't know, we'll see. I'm not expecting it to ship today, but would be nice if it did.

That may be the case now, since Amazon is sold out of the CE, but it wasn't the case when I ordered.  My order is through Amazon themselves and there is still no CE release date delivery.  All of the other delivery options are overpriced nonsense, so I'm stuck with free super saver shipping.  That means I may not get it 'till the week of the 9th.  That will give me time to finish Brutal Legend and Borderlands, but then Modern Warfare 2 will be out with Assassin's Creed 2 coming the following week.  Oh well, That's it for the year for me, so I'll just end up with some games waiting for me to play them.

If "Order in Process" means "whe are charging your credit card and sending the box to you"
then yes, there is a good chance that the EA store's orders will be shipped today.

I was all ready to cancle my preorder with Gamestop/EBGames and do it on the EA store, then I noticed 1-2 day shipping is 90 dollars on the EA store for the CE! I think I can manage the few extra days of waiting.

It should i just got of EA live chat and asked about the e-mail and person mention that once it been shipped there should be an e-mail stating its been shipped with a tracking #.

Yea about the EA 2 day shipping is lame, it is $15 bucks but thankfuly due to all the trouble i went thru i got a discount worth 25% off and i got it on that item so instead of paying $90 im only paying $73.60

Lucky Panda, I'm paying 78.73 from Gamestop, which is the absolute most I've ever paid for a game in some 25+ years of gaming. But the actual items in the collectors edition were worth the extra scratch to me, the soundtrack alone to be honest.

Wow I had the SAME problem, just talk to him again and tell him that if u didnt already that ur order isn't showing up, its totally fine cuz i know mine was and they had it up the next day

Now this is the frustrating part of waiting. There was a thread about waiting before and I thought "who cares?" but now all are games are ready and just sitting in the boxes somewhere ... it seems so arbitrary to have to wait.

I wish they would just ship me the instruction manual, that would keep me busy for a bit .
