Firstly, if this is common knowledge or has been posted before (or should belong to the technical forum?) - apologies. I did do a quick GoogleFu on the topic, nothing thorough though, and couldn´t find anything related.
I was creating a new Shep, had messed around with the features long enough to decide to start over. At the time I just wanted to choose a different preset to see if it would inspire me enough to start tweaking it into something completely different. I had already been to the point of choosing "finalize", where you´re asked to confirm the profile, but still able to go back.
So I backtracked all the way to choosing a preset - to find out that all the presets had the facial structure/skintone/complexion of my previous choosing (IIRC. Was in a hurry). Can´t say if this is normal as I´ve never looked to choose a different preset in the middle of creating. Probably is.
Backtracked some more, started a new ID and found out that the face was posed as it had been zoomed in on that last screen before confirmation - where you see your character full lenght with stats. Not knowing if this was a one-time glitch, I decided to take the good opportunity and made a Shepard that I really liked - might say the best one so far. The face can be tilted quite extensively and the shoulders are also visible, giving more room to judge how the overall look would be. Magnificent.
After that I went back to test it out. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. As to if one always needs to go as far as creating a new ID - need to test some more to see if there is a pattern to this madness. Picking a different class made the posture different - and biotic classes had their blue aura about. One funny aspect of it was, one time the soldier class appeared standing straight, one hand with a rifle beside the body and the other one....missing. Heh.
As for "pics or it didn´t happen" - I´ve never posted pictures, so for this purpose here I created a Photobucket account and if I could get feedback as to what size do the images need to be resized to for posting here (or any other relevant noob-friendly tips), the pics will come. And for that info I did serious digging. Read melkathi´s exellent post that I got from Pacifien´s blog...but no luck. Or I was not being thorough enough. But it itched me enough to go ahead and post first, pic later.
Cheers:)
