While I'm sure I will import all in the end, my dwarf commoner. While many of my second and third playthroughs were more coherent with clear goals, nothing compares to that first play through of just not knowing what's around the corner. The obvious choices are there, sided with Behlen, Keeper, blood magic, and templars. He had Alastair killed, had a fling with morrigan but refused dark ritual and Loghain took the plunge.
Honestly I'm not sure if they will be huge impacts, but I think the major 2 choices, who is on throne, and who defeated the blight (sacrificed) should give some interesting coloring to rest of the game.
What Origin story are you importing?

I think I'll import my female Human Mage for the first playthrough. I just imported her into Awakenings though, which is funny since she died at the end of Origins. Oh, how I love the "I got better!" trope.

Well my first playthrough will be with my rogue human noble. The others will depend on the flags that can be raised by my Warden.

I have a playthrough of each origin (and five of six of them were pretty good, admittedly my Dwarven Noble, the last one, was a bit rushed, but the other five all have their merits and I'd like to see at least all five imported at some point).
My first playthrough will be:
Origin: Magi
Race/Gender: Human Male
Name: Tristan Amell
Brecilian: Werewolves
Circle: Mages
Redcliffe: Sacrificed Isolde/learned Blood Magic, desire demon lives
Ashes: Defiled
Romance: Morrigan (main), Zevran/Leliana (side pieces)
Dark Ritual: Performed with Morrigan
Ruler: Alistair (rules alone)
I'm importing this playthrough first since he's one of the few playthroughs where I defiled the Ashes and sided with the Werewolves, and since my first playthrough will be a male mage, I like the idea of a continuing story revolving around amoral mages who are not necessarily heroic (but not always evil in the psychotic sense).
My other two playthroughs (female rogue/male warrior) will be:
Female Rogue "World"
Origin: Human Noble
Gender: Female
Name: Fran Cousland
Brecilian: Convinced Zathrian to break the curse
Circle: Mages
Redcliffe: Wynne went through the Fade and saved Connor
Ashes: Preserved
Romance: Leliana (main), left Leliana for Alistair during Landsmeet
Dark Ritual: Alistair performed with Morrigan
Ruler: Married Alistair to become princess-consort
Reason: Interesting to have a Warden Queen
Male Warrior "World"
Origin: Dwarf Commoner
Gender: Male
Name: Keldan Brosca
Brecilian: Convinced Zathrian to break the curse
Circle: Templars
Redcliffe: Morrigan went through the Fade and saved Connor (?)
Ashes: Preserved
Romance: Leliana
Sacrificed himself to end the Blight
Ruler: Alistair & Anora
Reason: Sole character I sacrificed (most did the Dark Ritual or someone else got sacrificed)
After a playthrough with each class and the game is good (which I'm sure it will be, I'll do an import with my other two characters)
Zell Tabris: Male City Elf, Convinced Zathrian to break the curse, Templars cleared the Circle, Connor was killed in Redcliffe, preserved the Ashes, romanced Zevran, did not do Dark Ritual, Loghain sacrificed himself to end the Blight, Anora rules the throne and Alistair is a drunkard. (My first Origins playthrough).
Tinuwen Mahariel: Female Dalish Elf, Sided with the Dalish, Mages rule circle, Connor was killed in Redcliffe, preserved the Ashes, romanced Alistair, did not do Dark Ritual, Alistair sacrificed himself to end the Blight, Anora rules the throne alone.

Human Noble first, then Human Mage, then Dalish Elf mainly because of what Merrill may have to say about it.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the DLC (I really want the one that shows that really cool 5 minute movie of where they're climbling a mountain pass in winter), but I'm NOT paying money for it now-- and I was short sighted enough not to wait just one week before I found out they released the Ultimate verion, which was just after I rushed out and bought DAO + Awkening for 60.00. I still kick myself that I didn't wait just one week!
Anyways, I"m nowhere near finished DAO (I'm only at Orzamar right now).. but when I complete it I'll be importing Lyna (pronounced Lee-Nah) a Dalish Elf Warrior.

Since my last computer had a meltdown and all my saves were lost (6 DA:O, 2 of them +Awakening), only my latest playthrough will be imported: Male Rogue, human noble.
Though I'm feeling a DA:O itch at the moment, so I might squeeze in a female City elf aswell, if I get 50+ hours over between today and the DA2 release.

Different one for each playthrough. My "Canon" game is my human noble married Anora - sacrificed Logain - Stabbed Morrigan, will be the one I use for my CanonHawke (thinking Male Force Mage may change) though. I've got a Dalish Elf (Ya know, the one in the portrait), A femWarden mage and a female Dwarven Noble as well.

Still a little surprised to see so few dwarves in comparison to the others. 4% out of roughly 150 votes.
Not that I'm helping much, I don't really like dwarves. Though I prefer Dragon Age dwarves over most other fantasy setting dwarves.

Can't really decide between my Dwarf Noble and my Dwarf Commoner. Commoner was my first, made the ultimate sacrifice. The Noble survived and played all DLCs. Character, romance and decisions were very similar (except king of Orzammar). I like the story better with the sacrifice, but having done everything also is interesting.
Third choice would be City Elf. Than maybe my human noble. Dalish, Elf Mage and human mage are less important to me. I'll focus on my dwarves and elves, to balance with Hawke.

I was actually hoping someone would set up a site for saves a bit like they did for the mass effect ones because I unfortunately lost one of the saves I was going to import. If anyone played origins like as a human male noble, a complete elitist, rascist (elves are beneath him etc), loves the chantry (like most pompous conservatives) and power mad, brutal to slaves etc. An enterprising individual who saw an opportunity to become king of Ferelden and took it. If anyone has a save like that Id love a copy. As it stands Ill be using either my arcane warrior save or my dalish archer save.
My arcane one is my favourite; A complete lone wolf, he has a task he sees it through. He has a quiet honour about him. Despises the chantry (because they treat him as an enemy without him having done anything). Not a protector of the innocent generally fairly neutral. Doesnt save redcliffe because thats not his task etc.

Blood Mage, Arcane Warrior, Battlemage
Romanced Leliana.
Supported Templars, Werewolfs, Bhelen and Branka.
Corrupted Sacred Ashes
Supported Anora, let Alistair be executed and let Loghain sacrifice.
other nice things in Awakening
Eliminated Morrigan in WH.

I'll be importing my Human Noble. Mostly a good guy, married Anora, spared Loghain as well as Alistair from Anora wanting to execute him. Didn't do the Dark Ritual though, rather sent Loghain against the Archdemon as his chance to redeem himself for what he had done. Saved both Amaranthine and Virgil's Keep and spared the Architect...

I plan to import my fav character 1st- fem Dalish rogue, romanced Alistair, made Anora queen (b/c I figured a Dalish wouldn't really understand the import behind a specific bloodline, as opposed to appropriate talent, being made into royalty- especially since the would be royal had no desire for the position) but killed Loghain, did the dark ritual (cause, again, the Dalish don't forbid blood magic and it seemed like the story really led to that ending for me, even if my character's personality probably would've led her to make the sacrifice) killed both the architecht and the mother in awakenings, and had no reason to either kill Morrigan or follow her into the mirror after witch hunt. (such a 'meh' ending for any female who felt friendly to ambivalent about Morrigan)
It was a toughie though, b/c I also really liked my elven circle mage who romanced Zev, made a hardened Alistair king, had alistair do the ritual, killed bothe the architecht and mother (I had so planned on siding w/ the architecht, but after reading "The Calling" just couldn't bring myself to.) and killed morrigan.
