In Awakenings recruits everyone she can and ends up with fullish approval from everyone, fully upgrades the Keep, saves the city, sides with the Architect. Oh, and lets Morrigan go through the Mirror.
I'm then going to make a Human Noble king or queen and makes a few different choices to change things up a bit and see how it changes DA2... And I will do the same with a Brosca if I have time ^^

None of your decisions made as warden really matter with this iteration..Bioware have even remarked themselves that DA2 is a great starting point to join the franchise.

There is as much point to importing in this as there is to Mass Effect. If you do not import you will get the default choices, meaning some things won't be to your liking as they could have been in Dragon Age 2. References, certain people alive/dead. Etc.
That is the point. Personally, I think it is pretty important to have the references I want.
That way it feels as if there is more continuity between Dragon Age (1) and Dragon Age 2.

Now a new champion...that's also a mage...with black hair...and a beard...with another Behind-the-Name name...and in fact a relative to the Warden...will arise.
Is it weird that so similar a man would rise up to be Thedas's next torrential force of nature? Perhaps. Or perhaps Flemeth just knows a good pawn when she sees one.

I think it is safe to say Human Noble wins by miles. 40% of all votes.

My second - City Elf Rogue, my second playthrough was a bit more 'completionistic', for lack of a real word. I will strive to complete more content second time round.
My third - Dwarf Commoner, my first true 100% playthrough. I would consider this to be my 'canon', I think.
My fourth - Human Mage again, my 'evil' playthrough, all companions dead or sent away. All the worst possible choices made. Should be interesting.
My fifth - Human Noble, the other 100% playthrough, which is the only other one I could consider my 'canon'. I am hoping for some interesting choices, as I am playing this one with DA2 firmly in mind.

I am importing my dwarf noble, though, it's my most 'canon' playthrough, because it was my first playthrough. I personally tend to consider my first playthroughs the most 'canon', because later on I'm more likely to game the system to get results I want, or even make different choices 'just to see something different'.
And man, Human Noble freaking crushing in the poll. I don't think Circle Mage would even be close if it wasn't the only possible origin for mage-class characters.

Put bhelen on the throne
Much to her dismay, did the dark ritual (eventhough she was actually good friends with Morrigan)
Put Alistair on the throne

Yeah, that's the thing. I can understand Circle Mage quite a bit because for all the Mage fans out there that's the only thing they can do (Sadly, I would have loved an apostate origin). But damn, is Human Noble liked.

Humans only have the tower (mage) or Human noble (rogue/warrior). Obviously Human Noble has the odds stacked well for it when elves have three different origins and dwarves have two different origins but only two classes.
It's basic math people.
HN still gets almost twice the two elf exclusive origins combined

I'm pretty sure that can be explained by how effeminate elves are in Dragon Age. I know that offends elf lovers, but let's try to look at this objectively through the lens of a typical young male gamer.

In order from each playthrough
Magi (Human Male, romanced Morrigan)
Human Noble (Female, romanced Alistair)
City Elf (Male, romanced Leliana)
Dwarf Commoner (Female, romanced Zevran)
Dalish Elf (Female, romanced Leliana)
Dwarf Noble (Male, romanced Zevran)
Magi (Elf Male, romanced no one)
I've been considering doing a playthrough where I don't romance anyone to see what happens in DA2. Something to consider.
