Memory: 4096MB RAM
Graphics card ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series 1 gb
There are no error messages. I have a digital copy and when I click on the link it gives me the option to play. Once I click that then it exits out of that screen and the icon for loading comes up for about 2 seconds then nothing. No message comes up, just a whole lot of frustration.

(And this is only for the raw hardware & driver variations. Potential software conflicts are far more likely to be game play problems, and developers cannot test for all possible program loads.)
It's all there, in the requirements, and on the DVD. Dx9 is required because Dx10 / 11 is incomplete.
He means that it should be downloaded, installed, and the system rebooted, then try the game again. The mere act of collecting the copy of Dx9 isn't sufficient at all. I would guess you probably know every bit of that, but given the fact that the majority of readers in forums like these are folks who don't write messages, just read some, it needed saying.SSV Enterprise wrote...
Try downloading DirectX 9.0c here.

edit: I don't know why it wouldn't work with windows 7. I got empire earth 2 to work for my system and it is a lot older than ME.

Windows 7 64-bit is not officially supported, but maybe you can get it to work by finding the Mass Effect executable, right clicking it to go to properties and change the compatibility to Windows XP. Make sure you run as administrator.killersinc wrote...
Does anyone know if the 64 bit edition of windows 7 can even play this game?
