I'm working on a third playthrough and trying very hard to be a human hating male city self who is also a little phsyco. I just murdered my way through the Arl's place and hung Soris out to dry. I wanted to know if anyone has opted out of collecting Dog, Sten, and Lelianna and how that worked out for them.

I'd like to be a dog hating elf but it's so damn hard! :crying: Not to mention the fact that he makes a pretty damn decent mage killer.

Thank you in advance for ideas and information.

Where does screwing over every elf in the alienage and ruining your best elven friends life make you a "Human Hating elf" so far you seem like a self hating elf.

Also I hope your female so you can be a man hater as well.

But for other party members I did a game where I killed everyone and I game where I only kept the "evil-ish" characters. Not a huge differance. I suggest keeping Dog, though. and naming him like " Primate-Murder " lol

I didn't take the two bible bashers (Lilianna & Wynne) with my Dalish mage... not a huge game issue but taking no humans will be a major hit to the main plot i.e. the lands-meet.

Even my villainous DC thug kept Dog around. I just chose the "He can come along so long as hes useful" option. Has the added bonus of eliciting one of my favourite Morrigan quips.

You could always take them initially and then get them to hate you throughout the course of the game.

Except for Dog of course, who wuvs you whatever you do.

I can't NOT save the dog. I just finished talking with the kennel master. He's all about those dogs and doesn't care in the least that you're not human. Besides, my elf can justify it as being a snub to the humans and nobility.

@Last Darkness: I've thought that the city elf origins should have had more opportunity to get in and get out with minimal bloodshed. There isn't any possibility that the outcome is going to be good for the elves no matter what you do. You either have to kill your way to Vaughn in your way in, or kill everyone on your way out. I've never pursued the bribe option from Vaughn but don't imagine that ends well either. As for Soris, I had my elf stay silent on the whole matter letting the elder do the talking. I didn't know that one fem elf was going to sell us down the river....though her motivations are easily understood. I'll hold out hope that I'll find Soris in the dungeon towards the end of the game. I think I saw him there when I played the Dalish line.

@ussnorway: I was thinking a little about the Landsmeet. The two playthroughs I did before I played politics and gained sufficient support from the nobles. I watched my husband play with a DN who didn't sway the Landsmeet in his favor and remember thinking "Whoa Nelly!" when the schtuff hit the fan. Still, might make for an interesting turn of events. :)

Lelianna can stay in Lothering, two playthroughs and I've never used her nor been able to get her personal quest regardless of approval. >.< I'm torn on Sten. I could probably ignore him in the cage and not even bother with the conversation. Just stick with playing the part.

The speedbump comes with knowing what an asset the big guy can be when teamed up with a DW rogue (which I am), Morrigan and Wynne.

(as my human hating elf)

I took the responsibility in the origin

I killed Dog, humans keep dogs, what do i want with a filthy human loving dog

I use sten and morrigan (just the 3 of us) Sten is a Qunari and looks down on humans just like I do. Morrigan may be human, but she hates human men and doesn't mind me ruthlessly slaughtering people, good enough for me
