Avril Lavigne songs ftw...?

Anyways, on to the point of this topic.

I was wondering if, since my Warden is bound to be mentioned in DA2 (she's the Queen of Ferelden...) it is worth playing through all the DLC, even though the ending of Witch Hunt is ambiguous and the epilogue of Awakenings said that she disappeared a few years after she got back from the Vigil, in order to get a happy ending with her and Alistair.

Yes, this is the stupidest thing I have asked all day. Don't judge me. ;)

Your Warden will wander eventually. All Wardens succumb to the taint.

I would just get Awakening, unless you romanced Morrigan.

No hope, no love, no glory. No happy ending.

Play if you want, but if you simply import the Origins save file, DAII will recognize you as queen.

If you care about other things than your endgame with Alistair, you'll probably want to play Awakening. Some stuff there might be important down the line.

Does anyone think Golems will be important? It's the only thing I haven't bought and played and I really would like to skip it lol

There are mods that will give you a happy ending.

I'm referring to the awesome royal wedding mod, of course.

Golems was awesome, you should play it regardless. Any sort of completionist should.

OP, you should indeed play Awakenings. There are important story developments for the Wardens in general, and the darkspawn, which also adds some dialogue and story to Witch Hunt. You're still Married to Alistair through Awakenings, even if he's busy off running the show in Denerim.

Also, important point of fact.. the Epilogue is a lie, much like cake. They don't count towards anything, and should never EVER be taken as face value. It's just something put in there for people who stop their story, the moment the last save is complete. But the moment you play anything, including DA2 you've just erased the epilogue from any possible future or history.

If I'm thinking of the same scene you are, that scene almost made me cry.

Other than the existence of the Harvester, no, IMO.

There aren't any real choices made, so I doubt playing it will have much effect. But just wait: those who didn't play it will be treated to a scene of the Harvester destroying all of Ferelden after the credits of DA2 if you didn't play GoA. You heard it here first.

Well if my Warden is making an impact I demand Leliana to be with him. (I realise that I sound like a teenage girl, hm.)

For Grey Wardens, there is no happy ending. There is no laying in a deathbed, surrounded by family and loved ones. It is you, in some deep tunnels, surrounded by monsters, and either dying swiftly or very slowly and painfully. Or, you can try to avoid the Calling and die to the taint or become a monster yourself. Enjoy the time available, but in the end, it will not be pretty. Possibly glorious, but not happy.

So glad Hawke is not a Grey Warden.

I don't think so. I mean, what choices did the Warden make? For all I know, there is only one outcome to the DLC, and thus, one possible outcome for DA2. It may be possible that DA2 will only reference the DLC if you import a savefile containing GoA, but that seems silly to me.

Anyways, I like to think that Awakening's ending inferred that the Warden finally submitted to the calling. Unless I'm mistaken, Awakening never specified a time frame for the Warden's "disappearance".
