I don't know if anyone else has had this problem or if Bioware is aware of this but I was just playing ME2 and experienced a game/system freeze that altered my save data. Specifically, the game froze right before I was given the choice to destroy the collector base or keep it for the illusive man. I had no choice but to do a "hard reboot" (held down the power button on PS3 until it turned off). I took a break from the game and came back hours later. When I started the game again I have a very alarming change. Originally in my save file my entire crew was alive in the suicide mission and everyone was saved. When I continued my save after the freeze, the data had changed to where the character Tali died during the tech specialist part of the mission. I watched the cutscene of her successfully closing the door versus taking a missile to the face like everyone else in my five previous attempts to keep the tech specialist alive so I was a bit...disgruntled, when I resumed my game after the freeze to find out that my hours of restarts were wasted due to a glitch that killed the tech specialist anyway.
I've read about a lot of issues plaguing the PS3 version but I have yet to read about anything similar to my situation so I'm just hoping Bioware found something like this on their own already and a fix will be included in the upcoming patch, unless I've missed it or something.
