 Recommended Specifications[/b]
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz Processor or equivalent
RAM: 4 GB (Vista) or 2 GB (XP)
Video: ATI 3850 512 MB or greater
NVIDIA 8800GTS 512 MB or greater
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space

My computer:

AMD Turion dual Core 2.2 ghz,
ATI radeon 4570 512 MB
4 GB RAM
Windows Vista

I got some questions:
Now earlier, I did´nt see the quadcore recommendation and I´m starting to feel some anguish that I won´t be able to enjoy this game with my dual core computer.. Maybe I will have problems with framerate and other stuf.
Now, I have also had great plans on using the toolset to make mods, do you think I wil be fine with my computer?

What are your computer specs and have you got any info if the recommended settings must be met to really enjoy the game experience?

I feel so sad now.... I´ve really been looking forward to this...

Quad core is not necessary. The game will run fine a dual-core machine of similar speed.

I'm sure I can play on minimum specs, yes.

Have no PS3 or 360, so unless it's ported to GameBoy advance it's my only choice.

How can you be so sure of this?

And also, should I change from Vista to Windows XP for better performance? Vista is always a bit tricky /messed up.

I once made a topic about quad on the old forums, and the answer I got generally sounded like this:
Quad doesn't even make it run better than on dual..
Bummer for me when I have a quad though

KREUGER44, Lol you have exactly the same specs as me (except i have better video card:P). This is just a guess, but if my computer can play the character creator on full settings perfectly, then they may be a hope for dragon age, either that, or I can just be a character creation enthusaist.

switch to windows 7, preferably.. If you've got the money that is, but it runs better than XP even.

The CC is not a good indicator of the game's performance. But quad-core CPU's make only a very slight difference in performance, according to the devs.

Yeah you'll be fine. Its optimized for quad core but its fine on dual core or even stronger single cores. You asked for people's specs, so here:

AMD Phenom II x2 550 @ 3.1 ghz (unlocked to 4 cores)

4 GB RAM

Geforce 8800 GT 512 MB

Windows XP Pro 32 bit (yes I know it won't see over 3gb, shhh)

I actually upgraded my computer specifically for dragon age. My previous parts would definitely run it, but I finally decided it was time for a new motherboard/processor/memory. I'll be fine.

I have a 3.2ghz quad core, the same card as you except I have two of them, twice the ram you have and on Vista as well. If I can't play it I'm going to figure there's something majorly wrong. Honestly, with your computer, I'd think there was something majorly wrong if "you" couldn't play it because that's still a fair beast of a computer.

Something to keep in mind that his is a Turion CPU, so its very likely a laptop. (I don't think AMD made non-mobility Turions) That means the 4570 is a mobility too, which isn't the same performance range as a desktop card of the same series. Its the same core (AFAIK) as the 4550 desktop.

Integrated graphics?

Not that I really think you do with those parts but as long as mem and cpu is at least decent the biggest impact is definitely what kind of graphics card you run=]

Well, the Tesla has no output, so the 5870's will be handling the graphics side of things.

RAM: 3 GB ddr1 333
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 256 MB
OS: 64-bit Win 7 Pro

Im pretty confident, that my machine will run DA fine on medium to low settings, if not i'll do what ever it takes to make it work, spend Money or smoke test! (overclock :D ) system is around 5 years old so im not too attached.

At the time?! lol I wish I had 9 gigs of ram, if it was still priced the way it was a few months ago i'd be tempting lol.

Dont know about this game but i was pretty sure that most games used only 1 core of the CPU :S
I got an intel dual core 2.93Ghz and it handles most games .-)

hm... why did it make a new post of the edit :S
