And it's great, and everything that you can deal with Bioware ignoring your choices, but you shouldn't expect everyone to, or chide those who are not happy about it.
This could all be simplified if Bioware just made a toggle companion like the way they blew off Wrex.
They address your choice in DA2 over what you decide to do. You've just been raging this whole time because of your preconception of the epilouge being the truth, which stems from the entitlement you feel from Bioware which is eggrigious to feel as such just as any dev will tell you. All of this has been perfectly established and yet you seem content to never look on the brightside and only feel that you've been wronged.
The way I see it, this troll () is the last naysayer and this thread has gone as far as it can possibly go because he refuses to see the silver lining in the clouds.
*crosses fingers and wishes real real hard for a LOCKDOWN*
Since you like to poke the bear, so to speak, despite the fact that I am done with you, I will address this point.
A) Bioware set up the epligue to be the truth in the first place. They could have stated when Origins was finished that the Epilogues were not truth, they did not. They could have stated it when Awakenings came out, they did not. They then slowly started to trot out how they were going to blow off certain ones, like the Mage Boon, and then, come around to Anders reveal where they state they are all bull****.
The fact that you call me a troll is tantamount to the issue that scares off people from posting here. This place is considered a mad house on other forums, and everytime someone disagrees with the high exaulted Lord Bioware, the Defense force comes and ruins the thread every time. The only reason this thread is winding down is because it's reached critical mass, I have defended my points despite being openly trolled for holding a contrary opinion, and no one else has any new points to make. This is the point that happens whenever there is an opinion you do not agree with pops on this forum, you guys troll it to **** until a mod comes along to lock it.
Speed it along. Post some cat pictures like this is 4chan.

I don't think you're doing anything but enforcing Haird's point, really. He believes the epilogues (read choices) should matter. I'm sure he didn't like the contradictions in the expansion either.
The issue I have is that he clearly understands why these changes happen. He writes like an educated individual and must know that BioWare has continued some characters that have defied some of the optional choices players had to make in games. He's adapted to that fact before, I think he can do so now.
Doing the whole "just scrap the import feature" is just an extreme exaggeration that doesn't do anyone any good.
I can deal with a couple of the choices not mattering, because it was neccessary for their story. Conversely, I should not be told that my choices were complete bull**** by the head writers here when they initially stated my choices are supposed to matter. It's disingenuous, and given the bad press Bioware has on this game from the non 'game journalists', it's not something they should ever outright say.
Holy wow. I am not arguing about Anders dying, if anything I am arguing about him living.
Why do I bloody bother here.

Ooo~! How I desire to be like my fellow allies in arms so that I too may die a noble, glorious, beautiful, and not too cliched death!
When I die I wish for the sky to rain upon my batter form tears of loving nature and flowers, especially the most expensive of roses, to fall about me in a graceful manner!
Magnificient!
But alas... Since I bear Main Character Status it means that for the Story to continue I must yet live while my allies hog all the most fabulous of deaths! Though don't shed tears of saddness for me for you see that I shall endure! With my honor and grace at stake I shall see to it that the story continues even as those around me fall about like sticks before the great winds!

A) Yes, yes they do consider the epilouges as rumors beforehand, you only just found out about this because it's relevant. The fact that it is a rumor is just you beating a dead horse, even though we've all told you it's dead over and over and that DA2 will still be a good game. The fact that you still continue to beat it and that makes you want to cancel your preorder, that makes you a troll.Harid wrote...

They could have stated it when Awakenings came out, they did not. They then slowly started to trot out how they were going to blow off certain ones, like the Mage Boon, and then, come around to Anders reveal where they state they are all bull****.Nothing has been 'perfectly established.' Have you played Baldur's Gate 2? Have you played Mass Effect 2? People have been complaining about this for a long time and Bioware claimed it was something they were looking into to fix for Dragon Age 2, because your choices matter this time. They then backpedaled and stated that some of your choices matter, some of you choices don't matter, which is the same crap they have been pulling and called out for for years. They had plenty of time to man up and state that they were blowing off epilogues during all the time they were stating now (some) of your choices matter.
The fact that you call me a troll is tantamount to the issue that scares off people from posting here. This place is considered a mad house on other forums, and everytime someone disagrees with the high exaulted Lored Bioware, the Defense force comes and ruins the thread every time. B)How were the epilouges a choice unless you were metagaming in the first place? The things you have done will be addressed and yet you still carry on by saying that "are choices" don't matter when the truth is that they did matter, just not in the way you thought they had. And even then when I've already said this yet you refused to address it AND THEN continued to say it makes you a troll.
I'm not saying That Bioware is perfect, see banner that I'm never taking off (
You hold an "opinion" that refuses to change or accepts new information, when confronted with Logic. If you admit that you are being petty, which is understandable when a preconception is proven wrong, then I'll take back every deragatory thing I've said about you. But I can tell your a bit too pridefull for that so I'll stop this comment here.

A game can support alternate versions. A short story cannot. If you never recruited Anders, he was never at Vigil's Keep. So it might have happened as the short story lays out, it might not.
He did become a Grey Warden, however, whether you recruited him or not, and he eventually met Justice in that case-- whether Justice was in Kristoff's body or not.
Did we hand-wave your choice to not recruit Anders? Sure did. But that doesn't mean we contradict it, despite your assumptions.
Doen't that answer the OP? Can the thread die no?

If Bioware is being truthful in the fact that they are planning this, they should not have put forth Epilogue slides as truth in the first place.
But whatever.
They NEVER DID! way back with DAO they said that the Epilogues were just what people said, how the legend "ended" not 100% factual they never said that its was Maker othed truth!

You guys did the same thing from a thread asking about racial diversity today, and did the same thing to a better thought out post a few months ago on the same topic, and are doing the same thing now to a poster that asked why the story isn't a continuation of the Grey Warden's story from DA:1.
