Use birds as grenades by filling them with rice. Use Birdnades to blow up more birds. Make art. Sell art. Steal art. Sell art again. Make a space ship. Somehow make Necromorphs. Find someone with the name "Isaac Clarke". Put him on ship with Necromorphs. Laugh at results. And finally, play Dragon Age 2.

I am jealous your GameStop is doing a midnight release. When did they announce it?

The manager told me a long time ago that he was doing a midnight release no matter if the company was or not.
I will not give names or address or even what state i am in as to not get this man in trouble.

that said i am sure Gamestop will announce it soon enough anyway.

I've just been looking on the website. I should call my GS now. My only problem is that it's in a mall and they have to pay the security team.

 

Then you should call them. Cause if the whole company is doing it then they will pay the mall staff to have at least 2 security gurads in place. If the Gamestop as a company is not doing it then you may have to wait til the next day.

We have 3 Gamestops in a 10 mile radius where i live, and i am in a small rural mountain town(no not south park colorado either). 2 Gamestops are at 2 diffenent Wal-Mart shopping centers, with one in a mall that is inbetween the 2 Wal-Marts.

Everytime the company has done a midnight release then they paid to keep one door for mall open.



TL:DR = CALL GAMESTOP and ask them.

I wont be celebrating at all on 8th, it doesn't come out till 11th in New Zealand
(Now on 11th March I will jump up and down while ripping open the packaging and then calm down enough to install the game impatiently )

Spend the morning cursing at Steam to download it faster, then sit on Vent with my fiancé as we both play it at the same time and squee over all the changes and DAO references. Then get mad because he beats me to meeting Varric because I was off exploring, then crow over him as I finish quest after quest while he's still trying to figure out what direction North is.

Sleep in so I can skip the agonizing wait of refreshing my email to see if the package has arrived... make a big lunch to eat while playing, pop that baby into the xbox and never be seen by anyone again for a week :3

Bah. I'll celebrate by attempting to avoid these forums in case I get spoiled for the 11th; I'll fail miserably, get jealous of everyone who's already playing, and learn a load of stuff I didn't want to find out. Then I'll curse my own lack of willpower and eat some biscuits. Chocolate ones, though, so all's well that ends well.

The 3rd of August will be the Venezuelan Flag Day or the Independence Day of Niger. I have no particular reason to celebrate those, but happy holidays to those who do.

After fighting my way through hordes of fellow fans, slaying the Traffic Monster, passing all speed checks at red lights, outmaneuvering the Town Guard (the cops), beating off the crazed cultist (family members) who're angry at me for disturbing their sacred place (the house), deflecting guard patrols (moar cops), acquiring through illicit means enough Stamina Potions (Red Bull) to make it through a three day marathon of game play, and stealing the Crown Jewels while I'm at it, I will play. A lot.

Like many of you, I am suddenly very excited about the quickly-approaching release of DA2. Maybe it's the increasingly awesome announcements being made or just the short wait until the premiere, but I'm thrilled. I pose a question to you, community: What will you do to celebrate?
I know it's silly as Dragon Age 2 is about as single player game as it gets, but we're having a release party. With health and mana potions and everything. Maybe if I can figure out how to stream it, it'll be an interactive party. Who knows.

i think game releases of games that are bound to be a once in a decade kinda special thing need to be celebrated... but in this case, somehow we are really lucky and in in the last 4 years we have had 4.5 great games released by bioware.

but yes, we all should party nonetheless. back in my home town a friend and i would always get togetehr the night before slap back some PBR on release-eve and watch movies and BS etc... then in the morning i would pick him up and we would hit up our favorite sub shop on the way to pick up our pre-orders at the mall.

it was definitely a ritual, and i miss it...

Unfortunately going to school suffering through six to seven hours and classes. Thinking all day and wondering if my Mother picked up the copy I pre-ordered from Blockbuster. Then as the day rolls around three pm. I will rush home to see it and crack open the box, hear the lovely sound of a new disk being popped into my hand and then sliding it into the Xbox 360 and not leaving my couch for a long time.
